yellow medieval houses
« on: November 13, 2012, 14:51:18 »
Hi:

Does anyone here have both versions of the yellow medieval house?  There is the pottery house 3455 and the add-on yellow framework house 7379.

If you have both, can you do me a favor and put them side by side to compare the color of the yellow walls?  I'd like to know if the color of the yellow on both houses is identical, or if they vary in shade.

Thanks,

-- Kenny

I don't have both in my possession but I can tell you that they are not the same color... the add-on house is a lot lighter... I would even go as far as to call the pottery house "Orange" by comparison.
Someday, I will organize my stuff, I promise.

Both are packed away right now, but I can confirm  they are the same yellow color.
BUT... it depends how long the old pottery home was exposed to climate and weather conditions, sunlight etc etc, that can effect the color to look either lighter or darker. The new yellow house add-on has certainly a more vivid yellow color.

If you hear the sound of the bell which will tell you that Grigori has been killed, if it was your relations who have wrought my death, then no one in the family will remain alive. They will be killed by the Russian people. :prays:

100% guarantee that they are NOT the same color  ;) again I don't have a picture but my brother and I had 2 pottery shops (neither ever saw sunlight) and both were darker and more orange than the add-on yellow house...

yep I agree with this too. I have them both and they ARE NOT the same color. The yellow in my pottery is a lot more "orange" than the add-on yellow house.

It certainly does look more orange than the add-on one. I do not have any classic ones

Definitely NOT the same color.
If someone tells you something else it could have two reasons:
1) color blindness  8-)
2) the person has been tricked and was sold a new one for an old one (or the other way around, the the person was lucky)

Challenge accepted! I'll dig them both out and take a pic!
The pottery house I have since childhood! It was a Christmas present from my godmother back in 1988

So the consensus is that the Pottery house was an "orange" tint of yellow and the add-on house was a "butter" tint of yellow?

I'd love to see photos if Wolf Knight or anyone else would like to post them.

Thanks!
