Adult sets for adults eyes only.
« on: October 05, 2012, 23:28:04 »
bb just mentioned to me that Lego has sets marketed to adult clients. What if ...........

I would want the old brass trains back for re-release. I do not think Geobra could sell such a toy marketed to kids with all the current protection law.

And army sets, like tanks and jets. My modern cities need  proper armies. Nothing to distinct to any particular region but at least four factions.

Also a casino theme with slots and tables. Has to have a stage and bar in it.

What what would you want if it was for adults eyes only?
If you hear the sound of the bell which will tell you that Grigori has been killed, if it was your relations who have wrought my death, then no one in the family will remain alive. They will be killed by the Russian people. :prays:

Though I seriously doubt Geobra will ever launch a line specifically for adult collectors, such sets would give endless possibilities...
I'd want bigger ships of course  ;D  Historical trimasters, but also a modern nuclear aircraftcarrier...
And jets, like an F-22 Raptor or an EF-2000  Typhoon (and Rafales or Superhornets or F-35s for the carrier).

I would like to see some things that might be much too big and expensive for a normal toy market. Like perhaps a ferris wheel, though that would probably have a limited audience. Some other things that might have a wider audience:

A large pirate ship, much closer to actual scale, with sleeping quarters below deck and rows of cannons.

The paddle boat that was never released as it was deemed too expensive.

Stocks and gallows. What western town is complete without gallows?

A western coroner with hearse, or even a modern funeral set with a proper coffin, flowers, and modern hearse. Much too dark for kids perhaps, but essential for serious photo stories and dios made by adults.

EDIT: Just noticed Hadoque mentioned larger ships!

Yes, such more dark/controversial sets would be cool too! A kind like the medieval torture-chamber prototype-set, which never made it into production...

Yeah, that may be a little TOO dark. But I suppose there'd probably be quite a market for it.

I'm trying to think of other sets that are just a hair too big and grande for a normal toy market. It seems we have talked about so many things and now I can't think of any of them.

I definitely agree with the request for larger ships. The thing that's really kept me from buying any of the ships is the lack of below-deck areas. The ships just don't seem very realistic to me because of that. :-\

I wouldn't want modern military sets though... I know a lot of people have made customs and would really like sets like that to be released.

I would add that I think some actual Crusade sets would be cool instead of just the individual Crusaders. It's quite obvious that the few that were released were basically targeted at adults that would actually know what they were supposed to be, but it's unfortunate no actual sets have been released.

big ship would be great and I am sure if they made one I would get one. I think lego had a set that was close to $1000 if I am remembering correctly.

I really like the idea of funerals. Classic western ones and modern ones. Even a cemetery and crematory

there was a toy aircraft carrier and it was huge. I would get one of those for our armies.

Its so easy to shop in the land of make believe

Another thing would be a roman ship with space for rowers below deck. ;D As in Ben Hur. I think also that certain historical klickys that would not be interesting to kids could be released for adults. As in greek warriors, samurai, or actual specific historical figures like Napolean. I'd rather see a whole greek theme than just warriors though. But you get the idea.

I want a white ferris wheel, like the one in Paris, a realistic Victorian/Western train, and a Victorian undertaker with a horse-drawn hearse! And old chapel with an cemetery would be cool. In France and Louisiana, cemeteries have little stone ''houses'' for family burials. It would be awesome to have some of those. The effect is so eerie.

I don't think stocks are too dark for children. They'd be good for a medieval set too. It could include cabbages.

Modern warfare sets are too ''close'' for my comfort. But I could see some adult collectors wanting them.
