It's a nice set, but it's just so...pink.

It does seem a bit on the extra-pink side. I think it would be fine if this theme just had ordinary castles instead of bright pink ones. I noticed you have one in the background though, conniefrere!

After seeing such creations as the winter palaces that have been created by members I often wonder how this castle would look with historically accurate colors. Not that these types of castles are recreations of real castles but at least the colors could be not so "Girly". I know it would not sell if it were brown, black, grey and red in color but at least we do have paint.
If you hear the sound of the bell which will tell you that Grigori has been killed, if it was your relations who have wrought my death, then no one in the family will remain alive. They will be killed by the Russian people. :prays:

Is that really true, though? The only reason I didn't want a Barbie-house when I was a kid, was because it was so pink  :-\

I'm way too clumsy to try and paint over a newly bought and expensive set. And that's a shame, because this castle looks gorgeous apart from the colour. Those towers and windows! The curtains! I prefer this one over the older magic castle (4250).

Is this castle able to be painted with colors, especially all the pink parts apart from baseplates?

I am sure this fairytale Palace it is delightful for young girls, but, to be sincere, it is not my favorite item. I like this fantasy serie, although, but this particular building itself not too much. Any details providing the general thing a more realistic look are welcome, and I like specially this add-on beside the dining-room. A good idea, it can help to change a little the overall shape of the palace, and to gain more place inside of course. I really like the inside with this extension, now it looks more like a palace, and not so much as a regular size city house.  :)

Edit: Around the discussion of others possibilities for color scheme or architectural style for this fantasy theme, I would like to say that I feel like Rasputin and others here. I find no sense to the excess about the girly look of this theme and for my taste this is spoiling absolutely the charm of the subject itself. I am quite sure another look for these castles will sell good too, but you need a bit of talent to develop a nice structure, appealing both, boys and girls. My mind is that today the option taken is too often too easy and plain, and I miss the creativity and nice taste of older days. It would be interesting to open a thread just to discuss about it. Sorry for the off-topic here.

I suggest that the baseplates be replaced with other ones of white or grey color, also the stickers in the stairs if it's possible not to be put!And about the pink colour on the attic and on the tops,I don't know, possibly to be painted!!!!!

Another thing I want to ask!  From this set, I need only the figures and the sofa! How could I find these? They aren't sold on ebay separately!I have bought from ebay two same sofas of 3022, 7 euros each one (with shipping costs). Can I find another one but with pink color,or to paint and to seem exactly like this 30 66 5232 - Chaise longue

Thanks but I live in Greece!I need for example spare parts from this castle (figures, sofa and flowers) and for 4250 (figures, dining table and chairs, troll and small table). The numbers of each part are in playmodb.org so they are easy to be found!
