Halloween Special Part 1: Terry's Story
« on: October 28, 2006, 16:47:15 »
Hello  All  >:D

There have been some strange goings on around here recently and most of them have been associated with the build up to Halloween. I must stress that this post is not for the faint hearted or young children that scare easily so you have been warned  >:D.
Here is a story that has been submitted by my friend Terry who is a local farmer. He is a real down to earth guy and is by no means a practical joker. He has been quite shaken up by his experiences.

This is Terry’s story:

I got a new tractor last year and decided to take it out to one of my fields for a test run. It was a lovely summers day and the wife came out with her camera to take a few pictures. She is such a romantic and decided to take a black and white picture of me sitting on my new tractor. A few days after we got the pictures back we were admiring the black and white picture when we saw a man on a horse in the background. What shocked us the most was that he did not appear to have a head. We put it to the back of our minds as it was most likely a trick of the light.
Nothing strange has happened since that incident. Well that was until Thursday when we went out for a walk with Sally our dog. We always take the camera on our walks and I usually end up taking a picture of the wife because I know how much she hates having her picture took. I kept calling Sally to get her to look at the camera but she was ignoring me and staring at the tree line. Having given up with Sally I took the picture and we went on our way. We got the pictures back yesterday and a shiver ran down our spines. It seems as though there is something in the background. I will let you draw your own conclusions from the pictures.

Thank you very much indeed for taking the time to read Terry's story and for looking at his pictures. He is really worried that you might think he is making it up.

Kindest Regards  Tim and Terry

Uh, really strange  :-\

Will there be a "solution"/sequel of this? An ancestor of Terry who wants to get in contact with his family due to an unpunished injustice? ... Reminds me somehow on Sleepy Hollow.

But maybe there are only some horse-rider-shaped stains on the lense  :P

Thanks for posting these "nice" photos.

Very good intro Tim! I am looking forward to seeing more of it and how it turns out, whether it is an odd-shaped smufge on the lens, or something more sinister!

Ooooooooh. Very creepy!!!  :o

I wonder why that headless horseman is haunting Terry's field. :0

I'm very eager to find out more about him. (I've always had a fascination for the macabre. ;D)

Great photos, Tim! :)9

Nice one, Tim!  You've got me on tenterhooks - what's to come next?  (I like the black and white pic, very nostalgic.)

Hello  All  :)

Thank you very much indeed for the kind feedback, it is allways appreciated. We are currently researching Terry's experience to see if there are any significant local hauntings. It seems as though there are records telling tales of hauntings involving a headless horse man in the village 5 miles down the road. Maybe this is the figure in Terry's pictures ?

Kindest Regards  Tim
