Pirate Posters
« on: March 24, 2012, 12:35:19 »
Hello I hope this is the right place to post this but, I've got some very old Pirate posters which are very special to me. I would guess would have come with these 2 sets as they were the only Pirate sets I had as a kid well until my Mum decided to give them away  :'(

http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=3799

which was first released in 1991

http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=3750

which was first released in 1990

One of them has a number on it which is 306.158/06.92 although I can't see a number on the other 1

I'll have to try to scan some photos into the printer with my Dad's help as they're rather large but, here's some photos for know I don't know how common they are now but, I'd be interested to see if anyone else knows anything about them or has seen them before

These are certainly treasures! Especially that first one! :inlove: They just don't make them like that anymore. I wish I had old posters from my childhood days.

Thanks they're very battered but, I'm so glad I've still got them and they've certainly got a lot of atmosphere in them whoever set that up and photographed it must have been very talented, I love them both but, for me the colours and the dramatic sky in the 1st one is really something  :)

I have both of these and one of these days i will post pics of all the posters i have, over 50 in total .... many are doubles though ... the playmo posters especially those of the early 90s are the very best i reckon , some are like art and i am planning to frame one in our next home  ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

They're the only ones I've ever seen so I can't comment on any other ones, personally I'd love to see more posters. I also agree that I'd love to try and get them framed even if I've got nowhere to hang them at present at least that way they'll be preserved and safe from more wear and tear  :).

i like the drowning klicky and the other sailor hitting the shark with the paddle  your not going to see that in any modern posters  ;)
If you hear the sound of the bell which will tell you that Grigori has been killed, if it was your relations who have wrought my death, then no one in the family will remain alive. They will be killed by the Russian people. :prays:
