more parts to identify
« on: February 28, 2012, 06:22:39 »
Hi! Sorry for another round of identifying parts! But my pile of 'things to sort' is slowly decreasing so hopefully I'll be done with this soon!

Thanks!!!

5. looks like the little top part for equipment holders, like in set 7777:

I think it's white in this set like yours, but I have one in dark grey from a knight's set, where it holds weapons.

#8 might be the roof of a toy train. Looks about the right size and shape.

This part indicates they came in purple, but I'm 99% sure that the train set in 3850 was red and yellow with dark blue roofs and smokestack, not purple.

I wonder if #2 could be part of a trolley of some kind - from a medical/hospital set, perhaps?

1: 30 61 4750 - Wagon seat, child-size; wagon fork
6: 30 05 7480 - Connector for foundation parts
9: 30 61 4520 - Toilet paper holder/Bowl for soap deposit/Towel-rack
3: support column for king's pavilion from 3659 - King And His Court
4: 30 22 1280 - Earth
7: 30 09 9210 - Post/stand for barrier, traffic

That is amazing. You really know your parts! :wow:

I agree with Sylvia that part 2 is the top of a hospital trolley- see3495 - Hospital Room- and 8 is the roof of a toy train.
Uncanny that I was just about to post a picture of no.3 when I saw this- it then led me to find another unidentified part I was about to post a picture of (base of 3659 pavilion). So thanks to Wolf Knight from me too!
At that moment the ship suddenly stopped rocking and swaying, the engine pitch settled down to a gentle hum. 'Hey Ford.' said Zaphod, 'that sounds good. Have you worked out the controls on this boat?' 'No,' said Ford, 'I just stopped fiddling with them.' (With thanks to Douglas Adams)
