Gordon,
Only spotted it as the class 90 is an electric.
They did have locos similar to these with pantographs on in Switzerland during the war.

Do you mean with the last sentence that the Swiss had steam outline locos running on electricity?

Very nice touch of detail to your rolling stock. Your train bug seems to be taking hold and I like seeing the results  :**: Next you will start in on the brass rails  <:>

I managed to get most of it fairly cheap - over here, people will pay more on eBay for second hand brass track than it costs new!   I got 12 R1 curves for £15, and 49 straights, 6 sets of manual points and 19 curves for £180.   Plus, I bought a 4003 set off eBay for £42.  I pick this up next week.  I think the loco is missing the funnel and a connecting rod, but these aren't too difficult to replace.
