New Netherlands exclusive, was posted in KW and Playclicks. Took it from this last one.

I like it

It looks quite nice, but why do we only get sinterklaas exclusives and the royal couple here in the Netherlands?

US seems to be getting tons of great exclusives, other countries too it seems. Knights, pirates, etc.

I'd love to see some sort of dutch exclusive historic set of sorts.

Like painter Rembrandt with one of his paintings, a group of dutch soldiers from the 80 years war, William the Silent, a merchant ship, etc.

Thanks for the pic, Gaston. Are the figures new?
@Rhallius: at least, you guys get some specials! Here in France, it seems we have no history at all! No famous historical figure! }:(
I'm not mentioning Joan of Arc, because she has become controversial (used by the French national party as an icon for kicking foreigners out of France); but there are others!
I can't count how many über cool medieval sets were issued in the US only over the years, and we got none. I am jealous!

would it be possible, that the PM local departments or even some major store-chains are responsible for these exclusives?
it's a nice set though, again: why didn't this pop up on the PCC?????

A shame to hear jean of arc has become controversial, but aside from her theres still plenty of famous french people to use for exclusives!

Somehow french kings seemed to be jerks though. One betraying jean of arc and causing her to be burned to death, and another betraying the templars and causing their grandmaster to suffer the same fate.  I'd gues the monarchy had that revolution coming for many years.  ;)

Aside from Charlemange though, who would be an obvious figure to portray with playmobil considering that hes tied to both germany and france.

Bertrand du Guesclin would make for a good knight to portray with playmobil, seems he did quite a bit more for france in their battle against the english than Jean of Arc did but it probably seems less interesting in comparison. Then again, any french looking knight could be called Bertrand since theres no specific look to him.

Something they really SHOULD do as a french exclusive however, is a three musketeers set! Sure, they did musketeers before but not the real deal. Just generic musketeers of the era. I'd like to see them create a set featuring the three most popular musketeers. Or four if they wish to include D' artagnan.

This exclusives business is getting expensive. At least shipping from the Netherlands is cheaper than from the States though. Just cost me $70 for shipping alone for the popstars theme....and that's before the UK tax man asks for his slice! We don't pay VAT from the Eurozone thank God  :)

Nice set, I suppose it will be available in Belgium and Luxembourg as well (the other 2 BeNeLux-countries)...

Indeed strange nothing has been said about it officially (or at least in the PCC), I see in the pic that the release date is already for nexth month  ???

Are the figures new?

No, the 2 nice Euroafricans also come in 5040 Zwarte Pieten and the Sint-Nicolaas (Sinterklaas) figure comes with those pants in sets 4893 and 5206. (also BeNeLux-exclusives).

Here are the sets available at the present, no mention of the new one yet:

It seems the blister 4887 with Sint-Nicolaus and the female angel (in which the saint comes with a skirt like bishops or so, instead of pants), has just recently been discontinued.
edit: I made a mistake, the Sinterklaas-blister 4887 isn't discontinued, but put in the Christmas theme:

It looks like an interesting set. Maybe the PCC will include it in its sale (when it happens) and just hasn't mentioned it.
