I called the 800 number

First in cue , still took 15 minutes to answer

They took the order and gave me 40% off but a few items I wanted were now out of stock. Also they have no idea why Germany refuses to send the Re-re-released western. Playmobil USA  have requested it for the last 2 years and have many customer  requests for them .

Playmobil USA had no idea their website is sending error messages for the last 4-5 days. Brilliant strategy during  Black Friday, cyber Monday & Christmasy shopping

Way to go German toy company , absolutely the way to stay competitive in the world market

I asked AI “What happened to Playmobil USA “

Playmobil USA has not disappeared, but its parent company, the Horst Brandstätter Group, has been undergoing a significant restructuring due to declining sales and increased costs. The company is cutting jobs and is reorganizing to become more efficient, which has resulted in a reduced presence in some US stores and a narrower product selection in the market. While some retailers have stopped carrying Playmobil, the products are still available through other authorized retailers, and the company is exploring new product lines and strategies to boost growth.

Reasons for the changes

Declining sales: The company's sales have dropped significantly in recent years, a trend that accelerated in 2022/2023 and continued in 2023/2024.

Rising costs: Playmobil has been hit by rising costs for materials, energy, and transportation, alongside general economic issues like inflation and weak consumer spending.

Internal restructuring: The company is undergoing a major restructuring, including cutting nearly 700 jobs worldwide, to become more lean and powerful.

Reduced US retail presence: The restructuring has led to a reduced product offering in some US stores, and some retailers have stopped carrying the brand entirely, leading to speculation about a scaled-back US presence.

What Playmobil is doing now

New strategies: The company is working to return to growth by launching new products and exploring new markets, like digital media and products for older children.

New products: A new play system for children aged 7-12 is planned, in addition to a focus on licensing and expanding the range of their independent character lines.

Focus on core brands: The company is refocusing its efforts on core brands and product lines to improve profitability.

Available through other retailers: While the official Playmobil USA website is no longer active, products can still be purchased from authorized retailers and their websites

The plot thickens! Rather an abrupt end.
Autotranslate worked pretty well.

I noticed that the Maxi Eggs have appeared at my Local Tesco in the UK, hadn't seen them there before, £4.95 each, I resisted the temptation!
They are not with the normal sweets, they were with all of the Christmas Sweets, if anyone is looking.

They should have done some sort of promo like this for the NHL and NFL figures, maybe Playmobil US wouldn't be collapsing now.

The 11 players seem to be sold in the same way as Mystery Figures, in sealed bags. The set number (for all figures, probably) is 72098. Ebay.it sellers are offering them for between 12 and 18 Euro. The collector's case is produced by Blue Ocean (so it may not have a PM set number) and is available for about 10 Euros (no figures). The case has spaces for 16 figures, with the 5 extra spaces suggested for duplicates.

Thanks for the info on these

“€1,50 for every €20 spent on your groceries”

Seems quite reasonably priced and a great marketing strategy

Hello,
starting from Nov. 17th to Dec. 31st you will be able to collect 11 different characters from the most famous Italian football teams.

You can get one mystery packs for €1,50 for every €20 spent on your groceries.
There is also a exclusive briefcase to keep them all together for €5,50 available in stores.

The teams include:
Atalanta BC
Bologna FC 1909
ACF Fiorentina
Genoa FC
Inter
Juventus FC
S.S. Lazio
Milan
AS Roma
U.C. Sampdoria
Torino FC

This is a pretty big campaign and I'm honestly surprised since I think it's the pretty big "Italian collab" after the Ferrari and Carabinieri ones a few years ago.
Unfortunately in the region I live Carrefour isn't really a big presence, so I'm struggling to get my hands on these, but I've already seen people reselling these for 5-10€ each...

Collector's Corner / Re: New additions to our playmo-barn

Exciting!
Kragel=  collar?
I  got a 5300  Victorian Mansion which  was all glued together once.  I requested - and got - a partial refund.

Sorry , I misspelled it

“The Kragle is a weapon that Lord Business needs to freeze the LEGO world. Only the Piece of Resistance can seal it. Not much is known about the Kragle's past other than it being an ancient relic protected by Vitruvius until Lord Business stole it. It remained in his possession for 8 1/2 years until one day, he decided to use it to freeze the LEGO World on a dastardly day called Taco Tuesday”

Kragle AKA …. Krazy Glue
