Title: Howdy from Germany!
Post by: Colonel Klicky on August 30, 2010, 22:01:13
Hello playmofriends!

My name is Jens-Markus, I live in Germany, I'm 40 years old and very pleased to be here among so many like-minded and playmo-collecting people from places all over the world.

1974 I got my first playmobil as a present of my grandmother: 2 construction workers. Since than I'm fascinated by this smiling little klickies, regardless of whether cowboy, knight, pirate or soldier. - Of course (or better: regrettably) since considering myself as to "grown up" to fiddle with "toys" my klickies had to withstand several years of exile parceled in boxes in the cellar... (http://server3.webkicks.de/confedhome/replacer/pfeif.gif)

But a couple of years ago I was reinfected by the playmo feaver. My main interest now belongs to the western and acw theme. So together with some friends I build and showed several dioramas the last years. Last one last week at the LuxPlaymoDays in Luxembourg, showing a playmo version of the confederate city of Charleston after the fall of Fort Sumter.

Looking forward to look around here a bit and meet & read you all.

Best regards
Colonel Klicky (http://server3.webkicks.de/confedhome/replacer/ck.gif)

welcome from san francisco.  every time i look at the dioramas from the gatherings in europe, i am absolutely amazed at the amount of playmobil is there, and all of the life that the visitor can feel when looking at the sets.  your charleston is wonderful to look at, your close-up photos of the details in the scenes are great.  soooooo many little things to see and appreciate.  kaethe

(I went through this ... Fortunately for you, you didn't give them away :-[ )
But I lived through it, and began collecting again, in 2008! ;D

The wonderful ships are the work of a friend of mine from the german board. He really is a perfectionist and all his ships look much better, than any new one from geobra, just having left their blue box.  ;)

You lucky guys have time to surf the web where and whenever you want. Other people got stuck with the work of running the largest german playmo board. So you shall not be surprised I arrived here just recently after being asked to perform some work...  ;)

So, nice to meet you here, too.  :)
