Here they are. I'll get their names added when they show up on the official site, which I hope is soon.
PlaymoDB List - New Sets Released in 2014/2015 Catalogue (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/your_set_list.pl?setlist=4790,4791,4792,4793,4794,4795,5163,5164,5165,5166,5299,5916,6020,6109,6110,6111,6112,6113,6144,6145,6146,6147,6156,6157,6158,6159,6634,6635,6636,6638,6639,6640,6641,6642,6643,6644,6645,6646,6647,6648,6649,6650,6651,6652,6653,6654,6655,6656;title=New%20Sets%20Released%20in%202014%2F2015%20Catalogue)

Thank you all for the photos! Have to say, not terribly impressed with the new releases, nothing of particular interest for me apart from perhaps 6109. Really like the design of the truck, it seems to be a new mold.
-
Shouldn't one or more topics be created under "News" with the new sets?
-
I'll probably not get much of this either, I think some animals though since they can be used for all periods! Probably a set of lions and chimps.. I have five chimps but no baby chimp!
The knight and pirate stuff sadly is not much.. might get the pirate duo pack but its a shame the adult has a painted on belt, and the kid probably too.
Pirate superset looks alright but why did they have to repeat the figures.. could have at least assembled them differently from existing parts or something.
-
I'm just happy we'll be able to get okapis.
-
Maybe a mod could split this from Tonguello's last post forward and put it in the News section now?

I was so excited to see the new items!!!! You know Toys R Us will probably buy the rights to the January Items early for US release.
Did I mention that I am excited??? :)
I'm hoping for this!!!! I want some of those animal bags ASAP

Me too! I LOVE the new fencing for the zoo! I want that more than anything! Though the Alpacas are an exciting new addition as are the new colors on the flamingos! I love the new zoo entrance. And the chimp baby! Can you tell I plan on buying all of it?
-
Oh, I hadn't thought about TRU getting them early! I hope so! Can't wait to get my hands on alpacas and male orangutans. And I'd like some of this fencing, too. It's always nice to have a variety of fencing types. Nice to see another re-make of the zoo theme, and some new or improved animals in there. And there are some things in there that will make great additions. Like the new concession stand and the arch. But honestly the zoo itself is nothing fantastic, and I thought this theme showed much less imagination and creativity than the last zoo theme.
But for the next animal theme, I would much rather see an outback theme similar to the recent African safari theme, expanding the amount of Australian animals available.
-
It could happen, we never know. I was excited about the concession stand and accessories
-
I like the guinea pig water bottle. It's a nice detail, though I'm not sure yet if I'll get more guinea pigs just for the bottle.
The alpacas are probably my favorite of this set of releases. I like the design of the new zoo fencing, but it's probably too organic for the Victorian era (I've toyed with the idea of doing a small Victorian zoo, but it's hard to balance authenticity with modern sensibilities of animal upkeep). The penguin balloon is cute.
-
I feel kinda bad because I'm not excited about these things. I do want the Princess with Spinning Wheel... and that's about it. But then, hey, it'll give me time and money to hunt down some of the vintage stuff I want.
-
Pretty happy with the zoo theme, as a smaller theme release it's pretty good, and I think the bags are a good idea. I count 17 or 18 new molds and color versions for animals, assuming the lions are in fact a new color. Still wondering about the pandas - maybe a new adult male there as well? The white goat in the petting zoo is a new version as well. Four new shields this time as well. I've posted about it over at Animoblog. (http://animobil.info/animoblog/)

My thoughts exactly. A priority for me at the moment is expanding upon my much neglected knights, and, to a lesser extent, my western collection. So, nothing to get excited about in the most recent catalog. Looking forward to 2015's second half assortment, though!

Oh yes, I am quite excited over that new concession stand. I have custom concession stands all over the place, but there can never be enough, and variety is good. That could be used at the fair, too. Also loving the animal balloons.
Ismene, a victorian zoo could be very interesting. To be authentic, the animals would need to be very overcrowded, and arranged by scientific classification rather than geographic location. But I would really love to see that.

Done :)

I'm all excited. Can't wait for the new sets to be in the stores. I really like the drinking bottle (it was only in the large sets of the clinic theme). The new mama sheep, the beautiful flamingo's and of course the baby chimp. The orang oetans scare me a bit. Maybe they look better for real.
The alpaca's look really like Playmozoo drew them once. http://www.playmofriends.com/forum/index.php?topic=11692.0
I really love them.
I'm not sure about the fencing. I loved the transparency of the now older new ones. They look more like modern zoo's who try to copy original habitat.
I also love the dog superset. Too bad no new dogs...

Thank you so much! Great to have a thorough review. I had missed the male okapi. The only thing that is new on the goat are his painted eyes?

Yay spinning wheel... I need a huge pile of those fo a princess related project ;) ... and since ds is always out a small set will do nicely...
-
I rather like everything, but modern city is my main theme so it pretty much all fits in.
I must commend Geobra on those animal pouch bags....I think this is an excellent way to let people buy multiple animal sets without having duplicates of all the other pieces that would make up the set. I suspect the idea may have been driven by collectors ordering quantities of animals as they would perhaps want 10 pandas but didn't necessarily want 10 complete panda sets. It also means that kids can perhaps purchase a different animal every week/month with their pocket money. It also means that folks who already have a zoo, can add just the new animals to their existing layout....genius!
All in all, a big thumbs up from me.

Not sure about the body, but the goats head is an all new mold. The eye color is probably molded like most animals they do these days.

Where is the spinning wheel? And, as far as the concession stand, is that the one that's at TRU now or is this a different one?
-
It's different. It's included in the zoo.

It would be an excuse to get animals (I try to avoid the modern theme to narrow my wish list). I'd have to find some cheap (believably Victorian) enclosures. If I dismantle the park, I can use that yellowish Victorian fencing for the herbivores, but the carnivores and anything that can climb or fly will need a different type of enclosure.
It's nice to see the spinning wheel again, but I'm probably going to hold out in case they release it in brown again.

the new special plus princess has a spinning wheel

News flash: they're now on playmobil.de, and MOST HAVE SPARE PARTS already! The specials don't, and there aren't numbers for the new animals (nor any brand-new parts, I would guess), but there's a lot otherwise. My data-sucker didn't seem to grab the set names - must debug that - but it sucked in parts, lots of them. Check the above link again, and the text parts-lists thereafter. The little-blue-head icons link through to the spare-parts page, not the PDF, unless there's a PDF to go to.

Excellent! :)
-
Likes: the new sheep and the concept of separate animal bags without accessories. Make your own zoo complete without piling up 210 buckets, 173 brooms and 319 hay bales. Nice!
Love the blue knight in 5166 the duo pack
6146: the pirate's hideout could be useful in any other historical theme
Dislikes: walls are getting thinner al the time making them more look like a cheap tv studio scene
-
Nothing of interest. Will buy the new Ds offerings of course and keep expanding my 'golden age' misb western and knights collection.
-
Might be something for you in the special sale if you are part of the collector's club. Nothing too major but just well.. something. Probably not allowed to say it here.
-
Can I just say here how much I like the word "Freigehege"?
