Title: seperate forum for F?gures ?
Post by: PlayMoto on November 18, 2013, 18:18:36
Would there be a need/support for a seperate category/forum for the F?gures. We have a lot of topics about this subject, and they are scattered all over the forums.

I would like it. (why can't i place a poll here?)

I'm not sure. Perhaps something wrong with a setting for this board. Will see if it can be fixed.

I added a poll. Let me know if you want to change the title or add further options. :)

Just putting in my 2 cents as a newbie that yes, I would love a separate forum/sub forum for the mystery figures. Mainly as I am a little obsessed with them. And also as there will be the two new series 6 & 7 coming up in 2014!

I'm not sure if a whole forum would be needed for this since I dont see that many topics about the figures to be honest.
Other themes exept trains dont have their own forum either after all. Well theres the kingdoms subforum but that hasnt seen any activity. The last pictures to be posted there where nearly a year ago.

Maybe some reorganisation could be done with sub forums perhaps, but that might be a lot of work to put everything in the appropriate place then.

I don't think there is enough discussion (or enough individual threads really) to warrant an entire sub-forum for the Fi?ures either. :-\

Yeah, it doesn't seem like they are discussed all that much, but then neither are trains, really. I do think they are unique when compared with other themes and inspire unique discussions, the same way trains do. Many of us collect them in a different way than we collect other things (though the same could be said of specials, I guess.) I voted no on this, but really I guess I'm rather neutral on it.

A sub-board is just as easy to create and probably the better option. Just a matter, then, of finding someone enthusiastic enough to round up all the relevant topics and send the links to me. Any volunteers? ;D

I'm not sure where would be the best location for this. Many of the topics are regarding trades, but not enough of them make it suitable for the Trading Post. Collector's Corner, I suppose? I could always post a sticky in the trading boards pointing the F?gures collectors to the right place.

offcourse, forum or sub-forum, i meant it in general & simple. Just a way to put it all together.  ;)

A sub-forum within a section would be great.  ;D

I'm happy to help search for posts and collate a list.

I'm happy to help too. MimmaBlue, if you put together a list of links and send it to me, I'll move the threads.

Sylvia, Collector's Corner sounds like a good spot to me.

I've moved the ones that I found by searching topic titles. :)
Probably quite a few more still to find...

Seems theres much more topics about it than I thought there was. I figure it makes sense it has its own section then so we know where we can watch our figure. Just need to figure out which topics are about the figures.  ;)

Since the new sub-forum went through, Pynedor volunteers, haha.

Before all of the moved topic clutter clears, I found a few more threads to move here so the forum can be clear again. There are probably some more that I missed.

So, if (hopefully yes) there is a series 6 (and later 7) co-op, will that be I  here or at the trading post?

It looks like the other co-ops were moved to here. I hope I see it if and when they happen. I like the co-ops Tim does so kindly for us. It almost guarantees that our house gets at least one of each, just need to find the Pamela Anderson one.

Thanks for finding those! They're all now relocated in the correct section. :thanks: :)9

Yeah, that was very messy. It also took an age to delete them all, so this time I didn't post the "Moved Topic" notification messages. :)

Yes, I expect co-ops will all be here now. I will contact the shop in February about the next batch, and start a thread then
