rumours about specials 2006
« on: December 27, 2005, 13:59:31 »
Hi,

In the german forum are rumours of what the new specials in the summer of 2006 in Germany are going to be:

1 Cleopatra (with painted eyes)
2 Pirate with braided beard ( LeChuck from Monkey Island)
3 Gladiator in blue with new sandals)
4 Indian (with bare arms)
5 plumber
6 siren/mermaid with shell-bikini

besides these there will probably be also halloween-Specials, like the eastereggs, but then with a pumpkin.
1. Mummy
2. black ghost with painted eyes
3. two children (one as a tiger)
4. vampire

There are no pictures yet; I'll monitor the german forum. Hopefully the rumours will come true...

Thanks for the news Jean Luc and Andi...

I really like the new pants on the Pirate!

And, I love Cleopatra! I wonder if we're going to get Egyptians to go with our new Romans? ... ;)

All the best and Happy New Year,
Richard

i thank you too Jean Luc & Andi
I agree with Richard, the pirate  and Cleo are really good.
The gladiator  has interesting pants too.
Were mermaids ever so rosy? But I do like the shells.

After a couple of island rums, they get real rosy, David! ...  8}

But I do like the shells.

Are you sure it's the "shells" that you like, David? ... ;)

All the best my friend and Happy New Year,
Richard

These are excellent ! Thanks for the photos!

That Cleopatra dress is amazing! And I love those eyes and the serpent headdress and her sceptre and golden crook.

The little mermaid (Siren) is also very cute. (And yes, nice shells! But do they always have to be blonde? A dark haired mermaid would have been a nice addition but I can swap hair I suppose. )

The pirate looks like he's in short school boy britches  :D...but I love his compass. And the helmet and colors of the Gladiator are cool.

The Indian ... oh well. And unless I've a clogged drain, I just can't get too excited about a plumber.  :-\

As for the Halloween Pumpkins...what a fun idea. I've always liked dracula and the little devil a lot! These will make a fun way to get some more and will be super gifts.

And, I love Cleopatra! I wonder if we're going to get Egyptians to go with our new Romans? ... ;)

Wouldn't that be wondeful!  :!: :*) <:> :)9

Thanks again for the sneak preview Andi and Jean-Luc! :D

So. Not a capris girl, then? ;)  Think of them as piratical Bermuda shorts ;)

Yeaaahh, with ya there.  :-\

Thanks so much, Jean Luc, for the preview!!

Wow, nice pictures.

Ok, now I'm convinced that the romans will come  ;D
And looking at the Cleopatra figure, this gives a foretaste that the series will again have been well prepared with a lot of love to details (and a very lavish design).

... and for the comeback of the indians there also seems to be an evidence.

From the priate I also like the trousers and the compass most (I think the "LeChuck Monkey Island" beards has already been there ... ah, yes in 3858 Treasure Island and 3939 Pirate Crew ... but not in brown as depicted here ... although LeChuck had a black beard, as far as I remember  ;))

And for sure the Plumber is a total must for myself. -- Yeah, a new tool!  ;D

The mermaid as a Siren? Will there also bee some creeks? (Odysseus et. al.?) Interesting that they relanched the mermaid topic again as special ... and recently as the Nordsee special. But looking at the Halloween sets there seems to be in general a revival of "old" figures.
