Hi Hadoque, Cachalote, and Andi,

Thanks for the pictures of the new sets.

The part number for the Samurai sword is 30 21 8450.

(I asked Target if they would let me open a box and get

the number, and they did!) ;D

Best regards,

Jimbo

Here's a pic from the backside of set 5804 "Skull Island"...
I too don't like this set that much - particularly the skull-island itself - so I'm not gonna try to get one...

I am actually beginning to like the "Skull Island" set ... ;)
I think that it might go well with the Jungle Series ... :)

It does not need to be a problem. I am always wanting some sort of German exclusive sets and am willing to send over US exclusive sets in exchange. ;D

the problem, rasputin, is the customs office.
in portugal they have quite an enormous power - they can open any letter or parcel that comes from outside the european union and thay can decide the value of the item inside.
even if it comes with an invoice with the price you paid, they can decide that the value is different and tax it more or less as they want.
it is a sad business...
 :'(
as it is sad that this new 5775 brings nothing new.
it has been like this from the moment the 3029 original schooner with a small island was released (in 96 i think).
one year later playmobil re-released it with the same crew (minus 2 pirates) and without the island.
later (i think it was later, i have no data) they re-released it as number 4067, again with 5 pirates and one small island.
finally, they reshape the island, add a very small fortress, add a new drawing to the mainsail and include old pirates and soldiers.
sad...
 :'(
my 3029 set came even with some wrong figures (2 of the pirates).
i don't know if this is common or not but the whole story is a collector's knightmare.

nice set... too bad, I have not been in the US for quite a while now...  :(

Interesting. We already had the discussion about the samurai sword:
http://www.playmofriends.com/forum/index.php?topic=1589

Obviously, they changed it...
BUUUT... for all europeans the old number might still work.  NOW ALREADY!! :yup:

Is the sword in a different color than the one from the old special?

Hi all,

This makes me want to buy the skull rock and make the "skull" go away.

Maybe cover the skull with rocks and bushes...

Socrates, I think the USA ninja sword is a bronze color ???.

If I get the set, I will know for sure. :yup:

Best regards,

Jimbo

I just got stung on a shipment from the US to the UK, though not entirely unexpectedly. A package valued at $50 cost me an extra $25 (actually £12.22) to receive, because the limit is £18 value for non-gift items, or £36 for gifts.

The actual VAT charge was £4.22, which is correct (at 17.5%) on the goods inside - but there is also an £8 charge for the "Royal Mail International Clearance Fee" - i.e. for calculating the charge and charging you.

If people are prepared to trade then the £36 limit is quite generous.

My lesson is not to buy big lots off eBay because they're not as cheap as buying singly.
