Playmo plasticine?
« on: August 29, 2011, 08:23:46 »
Hi all!!!
Hoping everyone's ok and all enjoying the summer break :D
I was recently lucky enough to receive a whole load of Playmo stuff courtesy of my Dad (aren't dads just the best;))
In it was three sets of brown trays but one had brown plasticine in it?
I would post a pic but Im currently with parents in France.
Ive scrolled the 'tinternet' but no luck so far 8}
Hoping someone here can identify what the item is or what it belongs to?
Best wishes
Issyx

Plasticine came only in two sets that I am aware of:

30 89 3842 - Clay for making footprints

But more likely yours:

30 89 9712 - Clay for plant bed

Damo :)

Yup,
The plasticine makes a real mess to clean up. Hubby had to soak used rakes and brooms in mineral oil and then scrape the mess off by hand using a knife. It is very difficult to remove from Klickies and gardening accessories, so you might want to think twice about using it. Some sterile soil or sand could be a much better choice for pathways and non plant areas and then maybe attach the plants in the brown tray fillers with plant holes which sometimes are available from US DS.
Trying to save you a lot of tedious work down the road, Pgal

After two decades of male toys (esp. Lego and PM) in our house, it is time to build something for us women!

George,
Just be very careful what you stick in the plasticene. If the item is solid and easy to clean, that could work. But don't put brushes, rakes, brooms or anything with lots of little tines or holes in it because you will never get the stuff off. Even feet are difficult to clean, and the inside of legs is impossible as well.
Poles should work fine as they can easily be cleaned. Cheers, Pgal
