A good play by both of the knights results in shield hits for both.

2 points Sir Jaknoi, one point JustFred

In the last run of the morning Sir Jaknoi comes out aggressively and tries to get above JustFred’s shield. JustFred swings it up but not in time to avoid the head strike. JustFred manages a shield strike, but that’s not going to be enough.

Sir Jaknoi of Gacim wins the match and with two wins moves on to the playoffs.

In Group C today we had wins by Sir Elric and Sir Arjay Rupiks, both of them moving on to the playoffs
And in Group D we had wins by Sir Barry Barrington-Smythe and Sir Jaknoi of Gacim. Both of them are also moving on to the playoffs.

That’s all for this morning’s play. There will be a break now, but please join us this afternoon for the conclusion of the Group Rounds!

Funny how Sir Barry managed to change the visor on his helmet on the first course...
It seems Rubeus will enjoy the rest of the Joust from the crowd. Too bad! Save a pint and a chair for him, he's becoming a real Krull ale addict...

Hmmmm.... a frolic in the flowers, sharing some Jungle Juice It's Fruit with Sven, and meditating on the perfect symmetry of a purple Playmobil posy doesn't seem to have helped JustFred win his match.
Ah well, win some lose some and we all share in the excitement.

Good luck to all the jousters who are advancing (but especially to Fleury... he has nice flowers, too!)

It's his Magical Morphing Helmet.  Someone should really do a photo story about how he came to get it some time.

That wouldn't be me.  That pointed golden visor is the only one I never could lay hands upon (US market only!). Maybe someday…
