WOW!!! :o Kids must love coming to your office! That looks like so much fun! I see all kinds of stuff in there. One thing that caught my eye was the way you had the snow baseplate on top of the baseplate with the little stream, so it looks like a snow-capped mountain and a mountain stream. Really creative and cool!

BB: I hadn't looked at it that way!  :) I happened to put a couple of books under the snow set to give it height and allow another set room on the shelf, but now I look at it and see I did something kinda cool!

 Yeah, I was kind of wondering if it was on purpose or not, but anyway, it looks cool! So, how do you use the playmobil?

That's a very extensive collection and with an interesting use.  Thanks for sharing it with us.

I, too, noticed the snow bridge and thought how good it looked.

rhanks for sharing your collection through these pics? It would be really interesting to see their use with by your ''patients''. Do you use a different theme for a different approach, or just go along as the kids choose their theme?

I usually start the hour by asking the kiddo simply, "What would you like to do today?" and we go from there.
I'll offer prompts with the toys, like, I'd like them to tell me a story of what's going on, or I may act like an on-the-scene news reporter interviewing them about the action/story. But it's pretty unstructured and non-demanding.
Often, I sit back and see what they do, with just the toys at their disposal and the therapeutic, safe environment. It can be jaw-dropping!

The use of toys and role play in therapy session is SO interesting! Any link to more, and easy-to-read, info?  ;D
thanks for sharing.
