Cargo Ship 4472-red elastic rope with hooks

Can anyone tell what is the use of the "red elastic rope with the four black hooks".I was donated this set but it has not have a box and i do not know what is the rope's use.I am thinking the it is a securing rope for the hangar doors or a way to lift the hangar doors.Please let me know if you can.

One use would be to secure cargo being carried on deck.

It is funny to secure cargo the the deck when the deck is not secured to the boat  :lol:

I do not think they intended it to be a lifting sling as there is a better alternative, the 4 hooked gray rope one.

It seems that i 'm missing that grey rope with hooks at the moment.

No that doesn't come with the 4472.  Rasputin means this:

Thanks Gordon,I already Knew that but i have also donated the harbor crane and that pieces is missing.I should order it from DS next time.


Does anyone have a picture that shows the use of the red elastic rope?
