Chapter X.

They awaked well rested on the next morning. JURAS brought black pilgrim cowls for the four. While the others dressed the robes, HADOR went to an old chest and took a bundle out.

[Vauban]

„Before ARN rendered the last honour to the kings, he took JURON's sword. All the years we kept it here hidden, but I think, now it is to you to carry it. “

[Vauban]

HADOR handed the bundle to the boy with these words. TURAS actually took it and opened it. He pulled out a sword with golden ornaments, worked wonderfully. It sparkled and shone in the early sunbeams.

„I thank you. I will hold this sword in honours. “JURAS stepped to the two and spoke, „ everything was packed and stowed away. We can start our journey. “

Thus they left the hut and also without having only one view back they turned the place, which served them many years as homeland, the backs.

They decided to travel first in direction northeast toward the large seas. There they wanted to try their luck and to follow a group of dealers, who are following the Small Trading Route on the way to the Large Bazaar. They hoped to travel in the group more inconspicuously.

The Large Bazaar was lying at the crossing of the Large and the Small Trading Route . Also under ARTRAC's rule it was the most important commercial centre of the kingdoms. But goods were not only sold, also informations were dealed there. Thus TURAS hoped to experience there somewhat over his brother.

[Vauban]

The fellows actually found at the next commercial station a small group of dealers, whose caravan was to the Large Bazaar on the way. Over the companion money they came rapidly to an agreement with the trading master. From pilgrims, who were in the name of the Indescribable on their way, he took only a small fee.

Thus they took their place in the caravan on the next day and began their journey to the Large Bazar. The first days of the journey passed without special occurrences. They made friends themselves a little bit with the trading master.

His name was PETAK. He was young man, the dragon wars he experienced as a child. In the meantime he had displaced  the war memories and was content with his life. He grumbled about the fact that the tariffs and taxes were again increased, but he was his own master and traveled this way and that by the realm of the dragons.
