Great work, Elaine, truly excellent.  With his big moustache he reminds me of a friend of mine called John Melanaphy who I yhink has Scots blood - certainly he goes to Burns' Night and likes whisky!

His kilt is beautiful!   You must have the patience of a saint to be able to paint plaid.  I get lost trying to remember which color is going over and which one is going under.   :)

he looks great.  i love the work you did on his kilt, painting plaid is very complex.  i also like the colors you chose for the rest of his outfit.  he looks like quite a character, and i am sure he will charm all of the ladies standing around at the party.
