Hi

If you look at playmobil's current trend with rocks you will notice that the gauge of plastic is shrinking making it feel cheaper or low quality. The actual plastic is still high quality it is just getting thiner

Also realize that Phthalates have been prohibited. So it might not just be making more money, but also about making sure the sets keep roughly the same prize because the materials have become more expensive as they need to look for alternatives.

(I am not sure if they are used but I know it has had an impact on our production)

Less Plastic: Less raw materials costs, less transport costs, bigger profit margins and more resource friendly products  .. a win win situation for playmobil

The Golden era of Playmobil is long long as are the Hans Beck days , I am glad i lived it as a young boy and witnessed playmobil coming out in the market ....

I am picking up all the dragonland series tomorrow plus some other ' goodies' called them today and they will be expecting me tomorrow , they had put the sets on the side for me .... cant wait till tomorrow ..

HI

and a win/lose for us. We get more products due to the higher profits but flimsier toys . I for one would prefer less amount at a higher quality.

Congratulations on your decision to get the sets. I have not picked them up yet but we have some time before they are discontinued here in the US
