Good morning dear Friends

The participation is opened to all members who think they could bring a figure of their own which will fit one of the characters listed in my previous post.

The figure can be customized or not as I will also welcome classic Victorian Playmos of course. The idea is to have members from the entire online Playmo community participating to an exciting project which will evolve from one diorama into a few little tales.

Those interested must simply select a figure they will either customize ot just send as it is but with a name such as "James the Butler" and little introduction about the character such as its background and personality.

As I am still in the process of decorating the dio, there is still plenty of time to finalize this project but I think this will be an exciting idea as I will list all these Gueststars with the name chosen by you and your nickname if you so wish.

As we discussing a single Playmo figure, the cost should still be quite reasonable and the sending back of the figure will obviously be at my charge.

Please do give it a thought as I have a feeling that it will be such fun for all involved and beyond  ;)

Karim :)

Dear Friends

A very ambitious project indeed !

I have heard this from my friends online and even my Mum this morning when I told her over the phone what my Summer Garden Party on Regent St was about  ;)

I know that it will be quite a job to complete but I am a very tenacious person and I rarely leave things to chance being quite a perfectionist so I will simply take my time until I consider that I have given it my very best shot.

I would like to thank all my Friends of the online Playmo Communities for their support ever since I have started this project and a huge Thank You to those who are participating to the project in the shape of Gueststars

I had the difficult task this morning of designing the main gardens of the Mansion and I used colored paper in order to shape what will be the scenery of my diorama.

In the next pictures, I invite to discover these gardens which can be read in the following color codes and what they represent :

Burgundy Circle : the Grand Central Fountain

Large Burgundy Rectangle : the Elevated Garden with Lawn and removable Pond

Small Burgundy Squares : the Vegetable Plots

Lilac : Lawn Areas

White : Footpaths / Allees

As I will progress with the completion of these gardens, I will put the new elements in the place of their color coded shapes so that you will be able to see the gardens coming to life so to speak accordingly...

So as you can see, this still is a work in progress but I will get there  ;)

Karim :)

Thank you dear Friends

I am delighted to confirm that the following characters have been confirmed by members of the online Playmo community to participate to my new project :

Maria Malibran

3 Musketeers

Street Children

Head Cook

Countess van der Hess ( a Victorian Lady )

Professor Moriarty

Professor Moriarty's Assistant No 1

Professor Moriarty's Assistant No 2

with an option on Cardinal de Richelieu to be confirmed...

I confirm that as soon as my diorama will be completed, I will create my first tales in a serie of portraits as follows  :

Summer Garden Party on Regent St

Portrait No 1 : From the early morning picking of fruits & vegetables to the preparation of the feast in the victorian kitchen.

Portrait No 2 : Arrival of the Guests in the Afternoon with the serving of High Tea in the Gardens

Portrait No 3 : The Play "The Three Musketeers"

Portrait No 4 : Evening Garden Party at the Pavillion

Portrait No 5 : Appearance of Maria Malibran

For each of these portraits, I will be taking about 1000 pictures of which only 100 will be selected to appear in the story telling section of the Playmo Forums to be later mounted as a musical video of 5 to 10 minutes each.

These 5 portraits alone will represent a considerable amount of work with regards to the planning, setting up, lighting and photographing so the project will only evolve to the second part of my tales which will be about Sherlock Holmes and the Professor Moriarty, so I invite all the members concerned by these characters to take their time please.

Once the main gardens will be completed, I will start decorating the Victorian Kitchen and the Grand Room of the Mansion.

Just like for the outdoors of my diorama, I will take you through a detailed making of the Victorian Kitchen and Grand Room.

So you see that I have still a few checklists to tick before announcing as a headliner "Summer Garden Party on Regent St" but I will get there  ;)

Karim :)
