Good afternoon dear Friends

I am beyond happy to see that dream of mine becoming a reality from a blank sheet of paper turning into a heavenly garden, day after day, through the hard work of Monsieur Firmin, Miss Periwinkle & Archibald

When I had the 3 meters long x 1 meter large wood board cut earlier this year and although I had ideas about how to shape the Grand Gardens of N°1 Regent St, I would never have guessed I would have so much fun bringing them to life and when the brick pavement finally linked the Grand Gardens to the Mansion yesterday afternoon, I thought " here we are dear Friends, Regent St is once again a reality"

!
From the following set of pictures, you will see a few shots of the Mansion viewed from the gardens which are exactly as I imagined them months ago since a Great Mansion called for Grand Gardens. Gardens which I was not only to bring to life from a flat surface but also create visual interest by introducing shapes & colours to define such areas as the Garden Pavillion & its Summer Patio, the exotic Garden with its oriental flavour, the "romantic love bench" and the elevated terrace.
Beyond the numerous plants & materials used to create these scènes, I must say that the biggest surprize came from these terracotta low brick walls which I originally selected for the entrance of the exotic garden and which are now featured in different areas of the gardens where they not only link the different areas together but also create a bridge like feel though the surface is...as flat as a blank sheet of paper

Once the gardens will be completed, I will start introducing the next characters to bring this time the inside of the Great Mansion to life starting with the new double sized Victorian kitchen

Thank you so much for following this Making of !
