Dear Friends

I would like to first of all wish each and everyone of you a Happy & Healthy New Year 2011  :cham:

Now that I am back from my holidays in France, time has come to catch up with my project of Summer Garden Party on Regent St and I must say that after walking in the crunching snow in the Streets of England, being greeted by the ever cheerful smiles of my little Victorians standing on the porch of the Victorian Mansion dressed in Springtime was a comforting and welcoming sight.

Just like for my previous works on the Autumn Theme, I will develop a few colorful little tales and this time, I would love to add characters designed by my Friends from the Playmobil online community

The central theme is of course a Summer Garden Party on Regent St and will mostly take place outside from the kitchen porch where the daily deliveries are done, and the main gardens which I have yet to finish and decorate which already include a Garden Pavillion and will also feature a large ornate fountain, lawns, allees bordered with flowers and statues and a central elevated lawn surrounded by bricks and accessible by a few stairs.

I will not unveil the details of the victorian tales to come, but I can already confirm that the first scene will start early morning with the delivery of our now famous little milk boy, will then carry on in the day with a picking up of vegetables and fruits in the vegetable plot which will be taken to the kitchen to be prepared for the feast that same evening. The day will continue with the decoration of the garden pavillion with tables, fruits and flowers displays, and the first Guests will be arriving mid-afternoon for the traditional tea served in the central elevated lawn area.

Then, the evening will bring a magical atmosphere in the gardens with fairy lights and our Guests will return to sit in front of the central elevated lawn area now transformed in a stage for a play.

This play will be the Three Musketeers and I would like a scene between the Musketeers, Constance her Majesty's Anne d'Autriche Lady in waiting, Cardinal Richelieu and the evil Milady de Winter. The legendary Sarah Bernhardt will play either Constance or Milady.

Then the second part of the evening will see the greatest Opera singer of the century, Maria Malibran making a grand entrance in the gardens for a few enchanting arias.

After such an entertaining evening, our Guests will be hungry and a wonderful buffet will be awaiting them in the Garden Pavillion.

These are the main storylines of my diorama which will later develop to a robbery, an antiques auction and a few other surprizes if everything goes to plan.

The idea of welcoming Gueststars in my new works was suggested to me by our Friend Tonguello  who is preparing a high profile Countess for my diorama and I think that developping a victorian tale involving your creations as well as mine would really be a great idea

Please do check the following list of characters which will appear in my diorama at some point in one of my tales to come, and do not hesitate to contact me with the name of your character chosen by you and tell me a little bit about him or her ( please bear in mind that all characters must fit the Victorian theme of my diorama ) :

Delivery Man

Street Children

Gardeners

Kitchen Maid

Head Cook

Maid

Butler

Housekeeper

Musicians

Three Musketeers

Cardinal Richelieu

Sarah Bernhardt

Maria Malibran

Impressario

Photographer

Journalist

Milady the Winter

Arsene Lupin ( the famous French high society's robber )

Sherlock Holmes

Dr Watson

Inspector Lestrade

Professor Moriarty

Professor Moriarty's "bad guys" assistant

Victorian Policemen

Victorian Postman

Man leading the Antiques Auction

Fine Art's Museum Guards

Artist Painter

and of course Victorian Ladies & Gentlemen all dressed to the latest fashion

I will welcome all your suggestions and comments and your character not only feature in one or more than one dioramas but will be listed with the name chosen by yourself as well as your own nickname if you so wish.

I think that it will be tremendous fun for all of us involved in the project and I am hoping that we will be able to stage a truly international production staging our favorite Playmobil !

These figures will of course be returned to you when my last victorian tales will come to an end.

So do not hesitate to contact me discuss your participation or ideas as I will welcome them with the greatest of pleasure !

I look forward to hearing from you  ;)

Your Friend Karim :)

Oh Karim this is AWESOME!!!!!! I can't wait!
It would be good for everyone interested in this great idea to put an estimated date of start, to know when to send you the characters for you to shoot.
I LOVE THIS!
Count me in with my Countess of course!

Hello Gaston

I know that you are already on the starting blocks  ;)

I still have to finish the main gardens and decorate the victorian kitchen so I would say that the first tale will start anytime between mid and the end of February and in view of its complexity it will necessitate a lot of work and attention to details  8}

In the meantime, I will love to hear from our Friends of the frum who wish to take part in this exciting adventure
