And I invite those of you interested in creating a diorama with Playmocompatible accessories which will match all Playmo themes, or maybe just intrigued of what this Dollhouse miniatures world is about, to make yourself a nice cup of tea or coffee and browse 2 online shops featuring hundreds if not thousands of miniature accessories, starting from the silver teaset which has been a feature of my victorian tales from day one and matches perfectly the Victorian theme

These UK based sellers will ship anywhere in the world at a reasonable shipping cost available on simple request.

So if you are ready to jump in the wonderful world of miniature accessories, here are the links to 2 online dollhouse miniature shops with an entire collection which can be accessed through the "see other items" option  ;) :

That pond and fountain sound magical! Can't wait to see the result...

I'm especially looking forward to the appearance of the Electricity Fairy  ;D  I'm very curious to see how you will go about that, because I've spent ages looking for the right lighting and it hasn't worked so far.

And since I've already finished my morning coffee, I will start on some breakfast while browsing through the sites you suggested. Thank you so much for all these inspiring ideas! I might need to start playing the lottery though  ;D

Dear Karim, if you search ebay.de, you find 3 auctions with parts of the set.

 http://www.ebay.de/sch/i.html?_trksid=p3984.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xplaymobil+5407&_nkw=playmobil+5407&_sacat=0&_from=R40

All three together are not really cheap, and the standee is missing (I shall have a spare one), but if you want them, let me know and I can buy them for you.

Did you say Printies ?

As the world of miniatures is about re-creating real life décors and scènes, contemporary or from the past, at a smaller scale.

And I have learned over the years that a beautiful miniature scene is all about realistic détails introduced through carefully chosen accessories.

We have seen earlier in this thread that when it comes to wallpaper and flooring, the 1/12th scale is perfectly Playmocompatible and matches our scènes, whatever the chosen period to perfection and I provided with ideas of a selection of free printable wallpapers and floorings, which can be printed whenever you need them and add instant atmosphere to your scènes.

The same principle applies to items such as gift boxes, wall artwork and paintings, stained glass panels, shop signs, food signs and labels, decorative tiles, book covers and so on, which are all called "printies" and best of all are free !

Anyone who has tried to accessorize a scene with a printed artwork such as a real life painting or poster found for example through a Google search, knows how difficult it is to shrink the original picture so that it can fit a Playmobil scene or by extension a Miniature scene.

The great advantage of printies beyond the fact that they are all available online and free to print whenever you need them is that they are al already created to perfectly match the 1/12th scale !

Those of you who have seen the mini labels and signs showing on items around my victorian kitchen such as labels on jars & bottles, miniature magazines & newspapers, and even fruit labels on wooden crates, already know how realistic these printies are and how well the accessorize a scene, whether Victorian or not.

I will provide you this afternoon with a complete range of free "printies" to accessorize your own scènes  ;)

In the meantime, have a great day !
