Good morning dear Friends

I hope that you are all well.
Yesterday was a great day for me as Monsieur Firmin and Miss Periwinkle started putting the finishing touches to the Sylvanian buildings.
I was waiting for the brick and stone of the third building to appreciate the visual effect of the ensemble and I am happy with the result. The Sylvanian buildings with their complex front wall ornaments and decorations represent a greater challenge than the Playmobil victorian house with its straight forward architectural design when it comes to applying the brick effect and create a sense of visual unity.
We started enhancing some frontal ornaments with the ivory colour paint and with the pale stone colour paint the upper and lower parts of the windows.
I am aiming at creating a diorama more evocative of the Mary Poppins Cherry Tree Lane movie scenes set in a glorious springtime than the rather darker style of Charles Dickens or Victor Hugo in David Copperfield or Les Misérables. A joyous Sunday in Spring, an invitation to a stroll in the park or a picnic

I wish you a great Sunday and thank you for following this project
