YOUPI ! HOURRAH ! YEAH !

Good morning dear Friends

I hope that you are all well on this magnificent Tuesday 19th June 2018 ! Why "magnificent" may you ask ? Well, simply because I went to a DIY shop yesterday afternoon and brought with me a board which will form the base of my diorama cut to the dimensions of 1.50 meter long x 1.25 meter large. A more modest diorama than the previous one due to the fact that the volume of my flat in Marlow ( Greater London ) is much smaller than my previous flat in Luxembourg, but it is nevertheless with great pride and satisfaction that I brought the board to my flat located on the first floor of small residence overlooking a little park filled with squirrels and birds. Perfect sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of the Hotel I work for and without a doubt a lovely source of inspiration for the adventures to come of my little Victorians.
I first realised once the board was in place that 3 of its sides could easily be accessed but that the L shape configuration of the Sylvanian Familiers New Town Series may be perfect to create a street environment with two busy roads joining in front of the Grand Department Store's main entrance but what about the countryside little touches I absolutely wanted to add to the diorama ? The answer lays in the configuration of the buildings which will offer a useful interior space in which I will have to work out how to create a green space around which I will turn the buildings around for a new perspective in order to have 2 dioramas in one, if that makes sense.
Already conquered by the quality of the details of the restaurant and ice cream shop, I am now entirely convinced by the style of the Grand Department Store which will become the visual icon of the "New Regent St" diorama. The only downside to the Sylvanian Families New Town Series range is the initial cost which will go down for sure in the next to come to become a more affordable purchase. On top of the Tramway, I cannot wait to see what will come next to complement the New Town Series.
So here we are dear Friends, the day I have been expecting for so long when I will present once again my ever happy little Victorians led by El Klicko Parisiano created by our Friend DAN who will arrive aboard the London double decker bus created by our Friend PlaymoLeo, with of course Mrs Applepie and you joyous Team of Cooks, not to forget Rupert the Cat who has been a fixture of my all my creations and dioramas since 2009. The entire world of Regent St will soone be parading for you under the sun of Marlow

I wish you all a wonderful day

Karim
