Yes, he needs to paint the wooden blocks that hold the rivets but given the complete fantasy of the Carthaginian army, it's not much of an oversight. The scale itself is impressive and just painting the javelin shafts must have taken a lot of time.
A pity the diorama didn't show the two opposing sides pressing against each other, just a small skirmish at one point in the line. I hope he does something more dynamic because it would be a shame to have such a large resource not used to show off some tactics of the era.
