Well, there's kind of a flimsy fence between you and most of the animals. Only the goats and sheep are actually walking around in the same enclosure with you. Camels can be kind of dangerous, but most of them are pretty docile.
I remember being butted by a sheep when I was little - but most of the time we got along
- I used to take him bread, on my way to school with my grandpa. And on a later school there was a goat near by (back then, kids were not locked up behind high fences - that actually changed the next year on that school
) and I used to share my food with her - she'd eat ANYTHING though - had to be careful!
Must be AWESOME to pet a (docile!) camel
(they make many appearances in the Amazing Race (my guilty pleasure), and they are usually.... not .... easy.
