Question about 4010
« on: October 04, 2011, 13:14:36 »
Hello all

I wonder the 4010 RC train has two motors , can these two RC motors be swapped with the old proper motors ...  ??? ??? ??? ???. I reckon a modified 4010 will have a lot of power with two motor blocks...

Hi,

the #4010 has only one motor.
It´s no big deal to swap this motor.

actually all the RC-train have 1 engine...only the 4052 has 2 electric engine. Even the 4029 train set (4031 US version) has 1 engine....I had one....

Really ???????????? I though these sets would be identical to the 4052 , so they dont have two motors just one ????  I find that rather strange and i am actrually surprised !!!! that makes the 4052 ever more rare i suppose !!!!!

click on the "4029 integro3.jpg" picture...you will see that there is no connector between the tender and the track, whereas you can see one connector below the "engine"

If I would have a #4029 I would do not touch it, I´ve never seen such a set live with my eyes.
I guess it´s really rare...
Last auction on ebay was 600 USD.......

If I want to have a 2-engine steam loco, I would buy a #4052.

it was I did with my 4029....you just have to remove the screws  then the wheels  and to put the motor train Playmobil #7550. You do not damage the tender.....it takes less than 5 minutes
