We do not have those here in the states yet but from your picture it almost looks like you could take the swinging door off of two of them and attach them together and have a drive through shed ? with the grey hasp's you might be able to use them to lock them together by attaching the pin on the opposite side ? Just an idea from your kids cool idea and it might  fit that longer electric engine.

Yes, indeed. I also bought two of them for my fire rescue engines fleed. The imprints on the building are stickers, so hopefully we see this piece in different situations from Playmobil itself too.

The vehicles I already presented here (or on my homepage) - nothing special about them but small localization customs.

For the building I want to create some brickwall stickers. The buildings will be used to present my fire brigade team (together with a new special unit) -- but that's off topic in this thread and just an announcement  ;)

I look forward to the finished project, Jochen.  The changes you made to the fire engine were quite substantial in their overall effect and, as I've just reminded myself, improve the appearance of the fire engine greatly.

When I made a low relief set of buildings out of MDF, I used a commercially produced brick paper for the walls.  The actual scale of the paper was 1:16 as the 1:24 scale paper, although about Playmobil scale, didn't look right.  I also used a "worn" version rather than a brand new looking brick finish.

Thanks for the hint, Gordon. I would either use such commercial paper (scan and rescale it) or use some tiles found at the Web. In any case I arrange it in the computer to make suitable stickers.
