MEDIEVAL FIREPLACE?
« on: July 04, 2010, 11:00:04 »
For my small medieval town and my western town I plan to have a Blacksmiths shop.
Could anyone suggest what I could use as a fireplace for each.
I seem to remember seeing something described as a 'medieval oven' on ebay some time ago, but can't find it on PlaymoDB.  The nearest is in the Royal Kitchen set 4251, but don't know if this would be too ornate.
Any suggestions would be gratefully received!

Hi Elaine!!!

If you can find the oven on the left (as you look at the picture) is the ne from the medieval blacksmith...I also think this was the one used in the western theme...

The oven on the right is the one from the recent royal kitchen set...If you do not place the sticker I think it can make an excellent oven for your western building!

Thanks for that Wolf Knight.
When I looked on the DB I couldn't see it in the inventory - I see it now on the picture of the western set though  :-[
You are right about the other one without the stickers, it doesn't look as ornate as I'd first thought.  Wonder if the parts are still available from ds?

The Blacksmith's oven (the left one) might very hard to come by and I am almost certain DS doesn't have it (anymore). It's simply too old.
The other one should easily be available as it's a part of 7469; a DS-set that's still available in the Netherlands (all though it has been dropped in Germany):

Sooo - good luck hunting it down.

PS - I bought the DS set to be included in my castle. It's a wonderfull kitchen set
... and then dusk came and brought despair.

There is also this fireplace which is a bit more rugged looking.

I've ordered the parts from each - (from the Palace set and the Log cabin set, couldn't find a part number for the Blacksmith's oven.) from ds and they're both in stock  :D
So thank you for your suggestions.

Elaine  :)
