Tea Time at the Mansion

It is High Tea Time at the Mansion, a Must in the Victorian Social Calendar which will surely be featured in the next issue of the Delineator or the Strand...

Beautiful Carriages are pulling in front of the Grand Staircase to deliver the Cream of Victorian Society all dressed to the latest Fashion !!! The Lady of the House and her Daughter are welcoming them, the Silver Tea Set is shining, yummy Cakes are on display ready to be served by the stylish Maid, the best China is on the table and everyone is ready to have one jolly good time.

Oh, lovely!
I can just hear the conversation.  "Well, now I didn't see this myself but Cook said that Mr. Wiltshrop said that..."  "Oh, really?..."  "Did you hear that Mr. Houghton is calling on BOTH Miss Idlebee and Miss Broadbottom?"  "No, really?!"  "This trifle is just divine, Mrs Karim.  Do tell where the recipe came from?"

Bravo!
