Set 5482 Asian Themed Large black dragon

I thought this set was very cool looking. I wanted him because of his details and size. I got it for $32 on sale but normal is $40

It was hard for me to put the wings on. The head rotates in many directions. When the head is not on, the mouth can open very wide. There were lots of weapons. The dragons spear is very big and we want more of them.

This dragon is shorter than the other black/red dragon. A klicky can ride on the light up mane. On the box Geobra makes it look like the mane lights up a lot but it does not. The mouth fire is removable. It was not hard to take out.

Congrats to your third born for this review, Walter. I thought it was strange you had trouble putting some parts on, and the comment on the mouth opening bigger when the head isn't on sounded weird… :lol:
Now, I have a question for your son: is the dragon spear for the dragon to hold, or is it for the rider like the previous big black dragon?

I (son#3 aged 8) put it together
The spear is for the dragon to hold.
The mouth opens enough to eat a klicky, to bad it does not open that wide once on the body (in the parts picture you can see it open wide)

Thank you for the pics and review (seeing  the headless dragon is kinda disturbing)

The removable fire is GREAT. I always thought it looked stupid, to have the fire always.. well.. "on".

A lot of the new armour pieces and weapons look cool. The buildings and dragons in this theme don't seem quite as awesome though. :-\
