New parts suggestions.

Seeing how most suggestions are about entire sets, bringing back old stuff, or completely new themes, how about dedicating this topic to just new parts, or new colors for existing parts?

Here's some items I'd really like to see.

-Short sword.
Theres daggers and longswords, but I would like to see something in between. Common soldiers would often use shorter swords in the medieval period, with longswords reserved to nobility. A common short sword could be used for vikings and pirates as well.

-A new anvil.
We don't see anvils that often, and its always the exact same model. At least a dark metal color could be used for it instead of black.

-Sandwich.
Not sure if its been done yet, havent seen it yet but it might be nice if theres fully prepared sandwiches that clickies can hold in their hands.

-Crates.
Nothing fancy, just simple square wooden crates in various sizes with a lid on top that can be removed. Great decoration for harbours and usefull in pretty much every theme. Great storage too. Small ones could store a few small items, while larger crates could be big enough to put a sitting clicky in it.

-Cloth capes.
Switching to cloth capes might be a good thing, makes it easier to put caped clickies on a horse and prevents damage when you removes capes often. Especially smaller capes seem a bit more fragile than the larger ones. And with a cloth cape it could be combined with something else around the neck.

Some good ideas, but cloth capes are always a bit naff - if you look at the ones they use for lego minifigures for eg. They never hang realistically.

Aye, if only because they are made from cloth of "human size", so small pieces of the fabrics don't really flow the same way to scale. Although, if a natural cloth is used they can still sit quite well. I think cloth capes would be great if made well.

That's very true. I suppose that's why the Lego ones are stiffer, since they are clearly made of some sort of blend and heated to avoid fraying. Techniques to avoid that would probably lead to a far greater expense than they would be willing to pay for the capes. It's still a nice idea though.
