The old poster showed Klickies, young and old working. Now they are portrayed as solving their differences with swords. That is not to say violence was not around but it is now normal and acceptable to advertise to children.
To compete with all of the terrible toys with guns and such that are out now, it seems this was one of the few ways to stay in the market. It's unfortunate, but true... I do think, however, that if more effort (which is probably equal to more pay and thus unlikely to happen  :() were put into the layouts for images like this, they would still turn out great, even with possibly more violent depictions. As I said before, the computer effects put into the designs now (particularly in the backgrounds of the scenes in the catalogues) just make them seem so much less vivid and unrealistic. The violence can certainly be realistic, so long as it's portrayed in as stunning of a way that it was in the older images.

I would love to see more posters from different eras . Please share more
I'd like to see more too if you have them, DrDalek6.
