Title: US knight info booklet
Post by: Rasputin on December 05, 2011, 22:15:04
We were at the toy shop celebrating a successful yard sale and we found an interesting pamphlet. It might not seem great news to European collectors but in the US this is actually rare. It was a little booklet that was called "About the Knights" It had info about the knights, castles, weapons, battles, and why's.

Seems like a neat idea Geobra could do with every theme?

I recall they had something like that for the egyptian theme. It's a really good idea, and really promotes the educational aspect of the toys.

That sounds interesting  :picsplz:! I think in Germany they have something similar called Adventure Books. They've done them for Dragonland (http://www.playmobil.de/on/demandware.store/Sites-DE-Site/de_DE/Product-Show?pid=80438&cgid=LZ_Buecher) and Top Agents (http://www.playmobil.de/on/demandware.store/Sites-DE-Site/de_DE/Product-Show?pid=80439&cgid=LZ_Buecher)  :).

Very simple, 15 pages and effective. I would prefer a little more action but it was suitable for tiny kidos

You see you collectors in Europe get all kinds of neat extras. We in the US barely get any books, stickers, custom big Klickies, clothes, party favors, the list goes on and on  :hissyfit:

This stupid well made book is what we get  :wall:

I know, it drives me nuts we don't get T-shirts, umbrellas, lunch boxes. :'( Don't they realize kids in the US who love playmobil would love to get their hands on these, and when other kids saw them, it would be advertising?

I know, they have all kinds of goodies in the boxes these days! I believe the egyptian one I got came in a box like that, too.

Gaston, I probably put it in the carrying case to keep it from getting bent. I don't really remember.

Nice to see a book like that, it would be great if they would start putting either a little book or information on the side of each box for most sets.

That would mean they would need to make historically accurate siege equipment again though.

Well, not the humongous rock - it's huge... But the rest is nice ;) (my sister loves the wings for the klickys). Can you please send me the rest, without the box?

(oh, and keep the crystal thing and wavy sword too, that go with the rock - I'm sure you can find some use for them :) )

I will paypal you once you have the total with shipping, ok? (please email me ;) )
