Title: Make the Free Gifts Available for purchase
Post by: Baron Marshall on December 02, 2011, 10:14:04
I understand that they want to unload the Ghost Pirate game... BUT a great way to do that... AND not make me frustrated because I don't yet have any crazy colored koalas... would be to let me buy the koala game to make sure I get one... I have like 20 Ghost pirate games now... seriously... at least let me opt for a different free gift like you used to... give me a Fi?ure... anything... THE KEYCHAINS WERE BETTER ANYWAY... (though they could still sell the "games")

I personally think that this would greatly improve relations with the customer.

I will try and get a pic of all the ghost pirates from the games together ... just for the heck of it!

Oh, I know it! I'm so sick of ghost pirates! It seems we should have long since started getting koalas; I wonder what's going on with that. ???

I agree, enough is enough.
I had about 4 and gave them away at Halloween (along with the candy.)   ;D

Could be nice if they always gave at least two choices of a gift.

Uhm? Explain?  :hmm:

Well, there was several times they did not have the typical free gift set in the funpark, so they thought  ::) that giving a couple of small boxs of cereals (frosties, cocopops etc) would compensate for the lack of the gift  :hmm: I refused t get cereals of course... even if they were free. Really infuriating actually.

UNBELIEVABLE! I got a couple of little boxes of free cereal after the Bon Jovi concert, I think... But instead of playmo?! they GOTTA be kidding!

WOW! I would rather receive nothing at all than a box of cereal.

Well, if it's edible, better than nothing, I suppose. We have a no waste policy - so many animals hungry, no wasting food...  If I know I'm not gonna eat it and can't give it away, I won't accept it.

there was some time in the early 2000's when they wouldn't stop sending the grey firefighter (both male and female) as a gift

"cocopops"?! what a funny sounding name
isn't cereal meant to be eaten at breakfast? ;D

I guess cereal were good after all, I mean even if they lacked those, they would give away tickets fro free entry in the funprk, but thats not good to me at all.

I was in the (Athens) funpark last Sunday. Spend ~300Eu including a new (!) 4400 (Post), 4055 Mega Farm set, new 4311 (Airport) etc. and I got a Koala gift ! However, I'm sorry to say that they don't have an idea how to keep good customers...

They tried to give you cereal? ??? That's ridiculous! :hmm: Maybe they figured if it was the same size box you wouldn't notice. :P

I though that they should have known you by now. If it is like that I shouldn't complain for me... ;D

The key chains were my favorite give-away. They have lots of them now so they really could start giving choices if they really wanted to.

If its free and says playmobil I will take them all no matter how many and what silly color the set is

Oh yeah, deffinately Luis, that is definately a very bright side!!  :yup: And far more happy about it.

I am not complainign about the gift itself, if anything I dont want the gift, but I'd appreciate if plain employees who sit begind the counter were more considerate of me and other collectors and don't treat us like the average parents who just went their kid to the funpark to have a good time. They are not that considerate because, plain employees cannot tell the difference between collectors and average parents. They are there to do a job, and they may not even like it, so they just treat everyone the same way, which is just a polite ''hello, how are you'' not carring for someone's likes or dislikes...Just doing what they tell them to do, follow rules and usually not have the insight to say ''hey maybe this guy does not want a box of cereals''...

Plenty of cerials i got on various occasions which is ridiculus. and i never understood if i am to get a present for each 20 euro purchase , surely they shoudl give me 10 when i buy 200euros worth of goodies  or i may as well make 10 different purchases on the same day shouldnt I ? Playmobil greece shouydl be very careful with such things and one think for sure not offer bloody cereal to collectors ? The first time i saw this i said ' what the ... is that???'  rather loudly and rather inappropriately in a funpark but i am sure you understand. Good think wife loves cereal ....      , she has gotten plenty from me but she dont know why so many small boxes .... :shhhh: :shhhh: :shhhh: :shhhh:

Panos,
Please accept any free FunPark tickets you can get! Then you can share them with someone on pf who can use them. If I ever see any free FP tickets running around, I will get a few and offer them to whoever needs them.

Have they every offered free passes to the Zirndorf FP? Too bad they don't put these in DS orders as a free gift now and then, Pgal

Might be nicer if instead of these games you get to pick a playmobil special instead. Seems about the same value and would give a lot of choice.

No unfortunately they havent, Pgal  :( Playmobil Hellas collaborates mostly with other greek companies. For example, they may give free tickets for weekend vacations to a family or two, but constrained only within national borders.

Might also be a bit handier for them too.  :) The specials are designed anyways. Could be a good way to get rid of older specials to make room for the new batch.  :)

Hey Baron, I just received a small order from PM usa and it came with the zoo game. Played it with the kids and even my kids thought it was pretty lame. Lol

I got one too finally... my wife played it with my daughter and she loved it... now she is 2 almost 3... so maybe its an age range thing

Yeah, I've never actually played the games, they seem pretty boring! I just like the free klicky, and sometimes the game pieces. Though the mini barrels were pretty lame. ::)

Maybe it is an age thing. Not for my kids though. They are 3 and almost 5 and they both were bored playing it.

Yeah I don't put a lot of stock in box ages... 123 for the Bath... regular for supervised play... because honestly who could resist playing along with a kid when they have Playmo... they are NEVER going to be unsupervised with it

Well I wouldnt consider playmobil to be that suitable for four year olds when you look at all the delicate items. I'd be too worried about them breaking it.

Some sets like a few figures, a car and such seem like a good start for that age, just not the smallest parts since at age four most kids would lack the dexterity to really place all those tiny cups and such on a shelf anyways.

But what baffles me the most is that they put age 10 as the maximum age for it, that could be at least age 12. They might be hurting their own sales with this a bit too, by limiting the age range like that. I'd say at age 10 they will start making more detailed stories with the clickies, learn to be more accurate with historic themes due to history lessons on school and all that.

there shouldn't be any maximum age for playmobil  we all know that...

Each day I'm more convinced they don't like money. It's SOOOO silly.

Well its hard not to be charmed by the clickies their innocent smiles, no matter how old you get.

Sure it's all plastic, but they still look endearing. Unlike Lego figures who stopped smiling happily quite some years ago aside from a few exeptions.
