Title: Titan on the lake
Post by: tomegood87 on December 01, 2011, 23:06:44
With some time off today I took my Kayak and my Titan cargo ship to the lake.

The water was really calm.  The ships crew was able to make wide circles around me.

It was sunny today, but not really warm.

The camera decided it was going to die so I was only about to get four pictures.  I still had fun with the boat for a good while.

This is the crew of two.  No cargo today so the ship set high in the water.  Next time I put a container on the ship.

Even before I checked your profile, I guessed from the backdrop that you were in America

Oh how I long to visit the USA - just those gorgeous trees make me excited :-[

Really great pics - the ship really looks beautiful in the sunlight, with the trees reflecting in the water

Damo :)

Thanks Damo.  A few weeks back these trees were even better looking with the leaves changing color.

A great collection of pictures of one of my favorite modern Playmobil ships in action!

Great pics of the cargo ship! Must be fun to take it out in "real" water. Very picturesque!

Damo, you have just proved to me the expression "the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence."

Very nice indeed! did you modify the TITAN to RC?  :D
is that easy enough for someone who has no idea how that works, to do it?  :-[

Thanks everyone for the comments.  Next time I go out I'm planning on taking one or two windsurfers out.

Just a regular Playmobil boat motor.  I have seen a few RC playmobil boats on youtube.  Doing this really makes me want to look into modifying a Playmobil ship to RC.

cool! that would be my first read-account of a non pirate ship in real waters. I've always been curious how well the titan would float.  I've been thinking about using its hull as a basis for a steel-hulled tall ship custom.

Nice pics!
