Title: A question for Dutch and/or German Playmo Fans
Post by: Keesinho on November 26, 2011, 20:06:20
Hello all,

I have a question... I noticed that Germany has so much more Playmo offerings for much better prices than in Holland (on ebay for instance). However, the transport costs to Holland are outrageous compared to the costs for a transport within Germany. Now I was wondering if there are other Dutch people here who have found a solution or a workaround to be able to buy stuff on the German ebay and get it sent them cheaper.

I'm thinking about something like a german post adress, or a german address service. I searched the internet for a bit, but I didn't find any clear answers or solutions.

Another option could be to ask anyone that lives near the border to act as "the german address"  but I have no idea how that would/could work.

Anyone want to share experiences/ideas?

At my crazy ebay years, I had everything shipped to someone there... Used to buy from her too, and get playmocrates once in a while..

My neighbour across the street has a house in Germany as well. When I order stuff (Playmobil or other) in Germany I send it to his adress.

You're very lucky! I need to find a German friend lol. Maybe I can put an add in the trading forums: WTB German!

I do the same thing. (Just, not in Germany.)
We were planning a move to NYC, but shipping costs from the US to Canada are outrageous, so we shipped it to the apartment that we rented. Unfortunately, we're not moving over there anymore, so from now on, I can't do that. :(
