Title: Chuck wagon
Post by: Jimbo on September 05, 2006, 00:58:38
Howdy all,

I just finished a quick modification to the covered wagon.  Every western round-up needs a chuck wagon.

The chuck box is made of mahogany, and the platforms for the barrel and  storage box is made from Evergreen brand plastic.  The storage box (blue) is a shortened gun crate. No. 30 45 7620.

Enjoy.

You amze us with big customs and now you do the same with detail ones.  Very nicely done.  Just what the cowboys need. :)

I love it!!!

So detailed and well-built! :wow:

I think this would be a real hit with Western fans if Playmobil decided to make one similar. 8-)

Yummy, that looks delicious. What a nice idea and well executed. This looks really very atmospheric.

BTW, I think such a kind of storage box of nearly the same size has been produced by PM: the brown one e.g. in this set (http://www.collectobil.com/catalogue/items/4201.htm) ... or is it larger? Do you know it?

I Really like this one, yet another excellent custom from you.

By the way is the mouse on the menu or is it a pet of the Chef. ;D

Hi everyone, and thanks for the kind comments.

That was fun to build, and I have always thought chuck wagons, and western wagons in general were really neat.  We had some on the ranch, and I played on them as a kid.

Little Jo, that brown box you speak of was my first choice, but it proved  to be a bit large for that application.

Wagons Ho everyone!

Looks great, way better than my own attempts at a chuck wagon. (which is just a normal covered wagon with a cowboy named chuck driving it.  ;) )

Evergreen is very versitile in the products. I've used it for customizing 1/64th scale fire trucks, but had never thought about it with Playmobil.  Now I need to head to the Hobby Shop
