 Hello Friends,
I've taken a short break from my Medieval work and gone back to the Victorians! I've always wanted to do a pharmacy but until now it's been difficult to get hold of enough different stock to make it worth while. But at last I've managed to get together a good range of period boxes ;D.
I've also combined the pharmacy with a doctors consulting room above. Many doctors also practised other things like Dentistry so I've also added a dentist chair to the consulting room. I'm quite proud of my chair I think it looks very old fashioned.
Anyway take a look and see what you think.
as usual there are more pictures on my blog if you'd like to visit. http://emmajvictorianshops.blogspot.com/p/pharmacy.html (http://emmajvictorianshops.blogspot.com/p/pharmacy.html)

That's amazing, Emma! Beuatifully stocked and arranged, and I love the colors you have painted it too. And indeed, the exam chair is absolutely lovely! Thanks for sharing this with us. Niw I'm off to look at the blog. :)
-
A masterpeice Emma. I love the green colour you have pained the outside. What amazing detail. You must have so enjoyed making those boxes and setting the whole thing up. Thanks for showing us!
-
That is absolutely gorgeous, Emma! I love all the little posters!
Fabulous job!
-
I'd seen it on your blog yesterday Emma, it's lovely
So much detail, and the dentist is great - is that a mask for gas hanging above the chair?
I do like the colour of the outside walls, it makes me think of old fashioned tiles, which made me wonder, have you ever thought of making victorian 'public conveniences'? :)
There's a new challenge for you! ;D

Simply beautiful!! I've already marvelled upon this wonderful creation on your superb blog, which I visit at least once a day!! ;D
-
:wow: It's amazing.. all the detail... Love how you painted the recent furniture...
-
Excellent work!!

Once again Emma, your custom is exquisitely executed and a delight to look at. I love all of your items for sale, and the medical dental suite upstairs in the attic. The red velvet on the dentist's chair is a nice touch.

Looks very much like our own Victorian era pharmacy in town... ;D
(Though the outside looks different.)
Magnificent job Emma! :wow: :wow: :wow:
-
Very nice pharmacy, really gives that Victorian feeling. Love the dark green and details like the tiny bottle with pills.
Are the boxes folded like real ones or stuck on plastic objects?

Beautiful pharmacy - like the others I love that green exterior. Your shop interiors always looks so right, just busy enough for the era

Beautiful building!!
I echo what has been said already: the colors for the building are perfect. They caught my eye right away. The chair is fabulous and the details impeccable as always.
Another masterpiece! Thanks for sharing the pics.
-
Excellent! and fully detailed! ...but spanish masterpiecer Sarrat made his own pharmacy months ago, I'm inviting fellow board members to check his version on playclicks!
Both are masterpieces...Emma great as usual!
Greetings!

This creation is probably the highest attainable with custom building!!! There is so much detail and consideration, this pharmacy would be an eyecatcher in any victorian street/city. Incredible work (art), Emma! 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

Emma: this is a great pharmacy . i love it !
when i saw the green windows and the black roof it reminded me of the houses that are coomon in our region. they were made with "shale" or "Slate" ( don´t know the right word ) i attached a pic. the shale comes from a stone pit about 15km from my home. allmost every house with a higher standart was build this way 100 years ago. they are beautiful...our family owns one that looks more or less like the pic i attached here. maybe this gives you a new idea for a new house look :)

 Dear Friends, thank you all for your kind words. I'm glad you like it. It was very fiddly in places.
Very nice pharmacy, really gives that Victorian feeling. Love the dark green and details like the tiny bottle with pills.

Gaetano
All folded hand made boxes! The only stuck on ones are the small white playmo jars behind the counter where i added little labels to them all.
Beautiful pharmacy - like the others I love that green exterior. Your shop interiors always looks so right, just busy enough for the era
Thank you, if you ever get a change to visit an old pharmacy in a museum you'll see they were jam packed with stuff and I always loved looking at all the old and odd remedies. It's taken a long time to get around to building this, I've been putting boxes away bit by bit for over a year until I finally had enough.
Oh yes I know what you mean about the colour, I love it but even I looked at it after it was done and thought of a public convenience. No I'm mot going to do one of those, most Victorian ones in the towns were below ground so nothing much to see.
The next shop will be a pawn brokers and jewellers I think, but not until the middle of next year, I've got too much to do at the moment.
I like your house Skywalker, I can see how that could be built using the new dollshouse. Very nice.

well done! so many things to admire and be amazed at, but for some reason I am most fascinated with your tiny hand-folded cartons and boxes, and the custom printing you did on them as well.
