This weekend at the fair in Osterholz-Scharmbeck (near Bremen) I presented my first glimpse of a Space: 1889 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liftwood) based Diorama planned for next year in Luxemburg and Kassel. I am not stuck on the book and you might recognise plenty of other influences coming from Steampunk and Pulp, Victorian Science Fiction and Alternative History.
So sit back and enjoy the Colonisation of Mars!

Very beautiful diorama, at first sight I would guess it were British troops in India.
But there's more then that, when you have a closer look! 8-)

The diorama and the tanks look awesome.

This is a really clever diorama that is executed marvelously. The combination of 19th century imperialist forces on another planet is a winner. The concept is quite interesting as well. :)
