Any ideas? It is most likely from a 90's set as the rest of the Playmobil in the lot are from that era

It is 6.5 inches long
I nearly chucked it away until I noticed it was marked Playmobil

Hm, I've never seen it. If you didn't say it was marked playmobil, I would have said it was Barbie! Could it be part of a pre-assembled structure, like this one? http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=4777

I've got that set and they all seem to be solidly built, whereas this part is felixible and a bit 'cheap'
It's almost like the plastic part you get in those fancy cardboard boxes that have a fancy pull out plastic carry handle.
But I'm sure it wouldn't be marked Playmobil if it were from packaging, although it does feel like packaging.

Could it be a handle from some other take-along, maybe? I mean from the take-along case itself, not the packaging. I've been looking through all the fairy tale sets, fairy sets, and mermaid sets and haven't seen anything like it at all. That really bright pink is unusual except in those themes. ???
-
I have seen this before, but can't remember where. :-[ I think you all are on to something with the packaging idea. :hmm:

Or you know what else... it could be part of some kind of promotional playmo item... like you know how they sell in germany lunch boxes, back packs, party supplies, etc? It could be part of something like that.
-
does anybody have a mansion box to check? ... cause i think that it is part of the handle on that big pink box so it didn't rip through the box as easily the white handle would have slipped through the two little holes if that makes sense.. if not disregard, must be going nuts 8}
-
Yeah, that does make sense. It could be something like that.
-
That was just what I was trying to explain :)9
Either that, or advent calenders? There were 3 mixed up in the lot
Damo :)
-
Baron, you are right!! Its from the 5300 box handle!!!
-
Thank you guys!
Not too exciting then
Damo :)

No, but nice to have the mystery solved!
-
I knew I had seen it before! :wall:
Thanks for solving the mystery.
