When the rescue sets came out several month ago I was quite happy that PM mordernized this theme pretty well. I also welcomed the fact, that they created an organization-independent health care logo (not referring to the Rotes Kreuz/Red Cross, the Johanniter Unfallhilfe, or Arbeiter-Samariter, just to mention a few well-known ones from Germany). Nevertheless there was a point that disturbs me a little bit: the fixed imprints "Rescue" and "Ambulance" -- I would have liked better either no text at all or even better -- like in the firefighter theme -- some stickers (in this case transparent with white) to localize your team according to your country.
But anyway, most times in the past the same statement might be raised from people living in other countries than Germany, when PM just focused on "German aspects" or in some rare cases just on the generalized "international" market, i.e. offering e.g. the police theme with "Police" imprints. So this time I have to adapt it (back) to my location ;)
The rescue imprints have been removed from the jackets with high-grade steel polishing paste and instead I added some decals with the text "Emergency Doctor" (a male and female variant) and "Baby Doctor" (all in German), like it is quite common in Germany. Also the ambulance men would have such an imprint on their back, but unfortunately I forgot to order this text at my decals provider, so I have to wait and add this with my next order :-[).
I also introduced a "dress code": the ambulance men wear white clothes (trousers, shirts) and an orange jacket. The doctors wear orange trousers, white shirts and an orange vest. Females get the same vest/jacket than their male counterparts, but for them I have to "adapt" the piece a little bit with the hot airgun because of their little anatomical differencies ;D
Males are wearing T-shirts, the femaly doctors a white blouse (from the 4623 (http://www.collectobil.com/catalogue/items/4623.htm) Pediatrician special) and the ambulance women a blouse which has been made from the 3206 (http://www.collectobil.com/catalogue/items/3206.htm) laundry room set (by removing unnecessary imprints).
I noticed that although the rescue equipment in general is quite varied, the different units -- emergency car, ambulance, and helicopter -- are exquiped slightly different. Especially at the helicopter I was a little bit disappointed about the nearly completely missing tools and accessories for treatment of injured klickies. So I equiped each unit with the union of all available pieces: the silver suitcase with drugs, the white suitcase with the dressing material, the oxygene cylinder, the drip tube with hand adapter and mask, the blue and red infusion bottle, and finally the mobile "medical apparatus" (not required for ambulance car). Additionally each unit got a metal box from the forrest theme house (animal "shelter") with some surgical instruments, a salve tube and a stethoscope.
The photos below are showing the figures only with the additional equipment which is not already provided by their standard vehicle (car, ambulance, or helicopter). The vehicles are not adapted so far (according to their imprints), but will also be presented when happened.

Typically the emergency doctor is accompanied by an ambulance man.

The baby doctor varies a little bit from the dress code: she wears a white trouser.

The helicopter pilot is dressed like the rest of the helicopter crew with an overall. Just an imprint on the helmet and on his back indicates his status.

Additionally my rescue team has been extended by a pet/veterinary surgeon, who is equiped in the same way (apart from the infusion stuff and the "medical apparatus"). Most times the vet acts all alone, but some times he is assisted by an apprentice (as shown in the photo). Typically his staff car is a civilian car (a Mercedes E- or C-class T-model [i.e. station wagon] ;D -- due to the absence of such a car in my fleet he drives a B-class sports tourer, which is according to loading capacity quite comparable to a C class T-model)

Those are really excellent changes, and beautifully executed, both in design and aplication but also in the choice of equipment where you have added this to the original.
Are the reflective stripes on the jackets your own or Playmobil's?
The helicopter looks a great replacement and I will have to struggle not to add it to my collection.
The metal box from the forest theme is a handy size. Please would you post the part numbers?

No no, that would be to much honour to me :lol:: they are from Playmobil (new rescue sets); I added only the white stripe with the text on it.

Yes, indeed it is quite handy and has a good capacity for load. BTW, this is not a new item; it has already been used for the 3222 (http://www.collectobil.com/catalogue/items/3222.htm) all terrain bike. Anyway, here are the numbers:
30 27 7620 - body
30 27 7630 - lid
30 80 0400 - original strap, but I used the thinner one from the water bag of the 4628 (http://www.collectobil.com/catalogue/items/4628.htm) union soldier:
30 89 4540 - strap for wineskin
Who makes the B-class?
I bough it directly from the customer service center in Sindelfingen (Mercedes plant). As manufacturer on the bottom of the model car kyosho is written (says nothing to me ???).
It's one of these typcial 1:18 model car with metal chassis (but it fits into this picture quite nicely ;D)

Yes, Tim is right: these are decals which I designed on the computer and let print on a professional decals printing machine.

Sorry about the misspelling :-[ . I must have been thinking about something else at the time. I even looked at another post to make sure I spelled it right 8} When I was done I hit spell check, and it changed it to Kuchen. That's me not paying much attention i guess. It won't happen again ;D

There are decals sheets available for laserjet printers or inkjet printers; later ones are a bit tricky to use (because before fixing it with water you have to use glossy paint to make the ink water resistant). Anyway: white can't be printed on normal printers, although there a beneath transparent also white decals sheets available; but in combination printing white and having also transparent parts are not possible with a common printer.

May I ask you how expensive a page of these decals is?
Did I get it right? You even get a combination of white AND transparent on your printings?
That would be great. Do they do internet orders?
I have several print jobs like this to be done and I was always looking for a professional solution.
So far I always used cheap white decals and tried to get the background color as good as possible. :-\

Yes, they are white and transparent on one sheet; actually the sheet is transparent and the printing machine has the possiblity to print white. You also can order special colors like gold and silver (not mixed from other colors and really shiny like gold and silver).
Ordering can be done nearly in any size: you can order a complete A4 sheet or just smaller pieces (for printing of smaller pieces he will arrange your order with others on a complete sheet and afterwards cut off your section). And yes, they do Internet orders, but not as classical online shop: you have to get in e-mail contact with the guy and have to provide the motive also via e-mail. He's a very friendly person and will answer all your questions.
Hm, price ... to be honest I can't remember. It has been over 20 (or 30?) EUR for a complete A4 paper -- sorry, can't remember (have to look it up ... if I can find the bill). But price will only by about size you really ordered. Currently I'm preparing anothing order, so if anybody wants some small stuff to be added, just give me a hint.
