I wonder could i use this instead of the 4052 tender

and then also by removing the motors of the 4052 engine block in the fron just have the above tender at 24V running the 4052, that would it a lot of extra power and climbing capability right
I wonder also if it would be possible to retro fit the engine block of the LGB tender into the 4052 tender ... :) :) :) :)
I want to run my 4052 at 24V !!!! ;D ;D ;D

I do not believe that one motor which can handle up to 24 Volts will have more power than 2 x 12 Volt motors.

Also the playmobil motors are powering all four wheels. There´s no benefit!
And what have to be checked before: Does the tender have the same heights (from the coupling point of view) than the loco?
Increasing the voltage will only lead to a higher speed and the risk of de-railing.
It´s only waste of money.....

George, if you want more power, it's better to put additional weight in the loco and the tender (not too much, but a little more: perhaps ~200g more?!).
If it's too much, the plastic gears inside could grind down.

With more weight the engine power is better fit on the rails.
Most of the LGB locos (and other) are more powerful because they have more weight. And they usually have only plastic gears like the Playmobil locos.
I don't know, whether 200gr or 350gr or 500gr or 1kgr are ok.
Test it, but don't use too much. Add e.g. 200gr. And then more, if 200gr were not useful.
If the wheels spin, it was too much!!
And: if the locomotive is too heavy, the plastic gears could break (the prongs break off or wear out)!!
Also you could swap the wheels/axles with metal wheels/axles to the wagons.
They roll better/more easily and so you can attach more of them.
But it's expensive (in Germany: 5,- € per metal axle).

first you have to be sure that the RPM for a 12v motor and for a 24v motor is the same...In other word for a same voltage, does the speeds of the loco and tender will be the same?

The 12v motor will die during permanent too high voltage.

I didn't read carefully the question ask by Giorginetto...I thought that you want to change only the PM Tender's motor by the LGB one....without removing the loco motor...I'm too tired 8}

It does not make sense to exchange the tender motor and disable the loco motor and then hope that the power will increase....
