Are the discontinued entirely from Geobra??
I think he is one of the coolest looking animal in the playmoverse....except the Moose
-
Yes, it probably is the hardest to get. I see them on ebay occassionally, but only one or two at a time, and usually buried in big lots. It was only available in one set and as an add-on, I believe, and is discontinued now. I'm in the market for some more right now. I only have two, and need at least three or four more.

You are trying to make a herd of them?? They really look cooooool
Do you think Geobra would bring them back??
-
I wish they would bring them back, along with the wildebeests! :hissyfit: Maybe someday. :-\
I have a huge mountain for them in my zoo, and only two goats on it. And one of them is going on my wildlife carousel I'm working on. So I need more for the exhibit.
-
I think the goats have a good chance at a comeback, but I think if wildebeests come back it will be a new sculpt entirely or as a multi-injection mold with different colored horns, hair, etc...
-
I think to meet current safety standards, the horns of the wildebeest would have to be made of a soft material. The goats do have a better chance, because their horns are already soft.
-
Oh please.. Actually all the soft rubbery parts are starting to annoy me.. Trying to look on the plus side, they don't break as easy.. but what will happen to those parts in 10 years?
-
I know, I hate them too. But it must be a new regulation somewhere.
-
Right, cause kids are morons, and parents too... Gods.
Making things for the common LOWER denominator is NOT good.
It's like the holes in the eggs. I can understand the tiny eggs (non playmo), or even kinder eggs. My concern: a dog could eat one and choke.
Now.. an egg the size of the current ones... Who's gonna eat that!? A horse? A pig? If that is the case, if it's possible they choke on one of those, than I'm all for it. Then agaoin.. pigs and horses should not be playing with playmo in the first place, me thinks.
-
now that isn't really fair to the horses and pigs is it  why wouldn't they want to play with playmo too? ;)

Just don't think it's their thing... They can't do worse to it that some kids <FURIOUS thinking of my defaced hospital>
-
I would agree it's one of the hardest. It hasn't been re-released in a while. The most difficult are the color variations that are only in one set, or the FunPark animals that are no longer in production.
-
Not sure what mountain goat looks like. Could someone please post a photo and a set number? Sounds cool, Pgal

5135-ship and front-mast, I assume? ::)
With the 5135s we get the same problem as with the 4424 (US 5736) Blackbeard's ship: the riggings (mast-"ladders") are too tight on the front mast, in every set! :hmm:
The riggings might be a few mm too short, or the mast a few mm too high. Problem can be solved by sawing off carefully 2 or 3 mm from the top of the mast.
(not too much, otherwise the riggings will sit too loose. But if one would saw off too much accidently, then again that can be solved by putting something very small & flat in the mast-hole in the deck, so then the mast would stick a bit out longer and thus the riggings would be tighter again).
To stay on-topic: I have a goat but it is one for the lowlands.

I don't suppose one could migrate to the hills of Southern Scotland?

Oh I truly hate when one of these animals was on clearance a few years ago like these goats. I bought a few packs but never enough :hissyfit:
It may be a while for these to get re-released as Geobra was stuck with loads of them not too long ago. I do wish they would come out again as I too need want have to have more ;D
-
I'm still kicking myself for not buying any when they had them on clearance. :'( :'( :'( :'( STUPID, STUPID, STUPID!!!! I was really broke at the time and decided to wait, and then they were gone. :'(
George, if a couple of packs want to navigate to Louisiana, I'm sure they can find a nice home here, too. :toot:

King Iseroth would turn the poor thing into a split roast the minute it approached crossing the borders of Krull ........

Sounds as if there will be a massive migration of mountain goats any day now....come on folks, please check those unopened bags from the FunParks to see if you have a flock or two of these darn goats! Don't remember seeing any at the FL FP July 2nd, Pgal

Like stated by Tim I really think these have a good chance of making a comeback in some set. It already has the two different materials.
It really makes me want to stock up on all the other DS animals like the wart hogs and water buffalo and the ......................
I am now wanting the bison even more now that it is gone also 8}
Edited Not to Now
-
The warthogs, hyenas, water buffalo, gazelle, and flamingos have all disappeared from the German DS pages. They may well come back, but if you are in the export market and are on the fence about getting some you might want to go ahead and do it.
-
Ooh, thanks for the reminder, Tim! I need some cape buffalo before they run out! And I need several more gazelles and maybe a couple of warthogs.
I'm still regretting not building that buffalo herd I have wanted since I got my first playmobil as a child while I had the chance. :'(
