This looks great, Skywalker!

Congratulations Skywalker. Very nice diorama!
-
Ooooo, I really like this! :D ;D :wow:
Magnifeicnt! Stunning!

love it!
i see the british claimed a pirate ship for their own, and the displaced pirate crew is now frolicking side by side with british soldiers, as well as french intermingling within the city. I love it when adversaries get along and learn how to live together! hehehe.
But on the dock (nice use of the pirate treasure chest take-along set), why is the redcoats leader's sword drawn next to the guy using a sextant on land? so many stories, so many stories....
and what is it the dog seems to be eagerly awaiting?
Oh, and very nice use of the otherwise kiddish new fort which you've done a splendid job of integrating into your steck set-up flawlessly. I almost didn't realize it wasn't a steck piece at first glance. Nice that it is the same heighth as a steck wall, so it can fit in.
And what clicky is this, btw? I love it! (the one with gold-trimmed tricorn):

my apologies my friend, I did not mean to seem critical. I am no history buff either at all. It was meant as playful compliments, and was curious if you had an inner story going on with the characters in your scene.... I love your diorama and the imaginative set-up.
I really love your work, both your 2-D and 3-D creations. Some of the best!

Great again Skywalker. While we're on the subject on clicky identification could someone tell me where the soldiers with the cream(ish) jackets come from. There is one in the last pic to the right of the blue female pirate?
-
BlackPearl : Thx for clearing this up. i good friend who is into playmobil big time said yesterday to me : the most difficult thing in forums is not to have misunderstandings.
when i do my pics there is total freestyle. i just have some ideas and my collection + my modeling parts....i pick up parts from here and there. more visual then "historical" . then i combine everything to get nice pics - that try to catch my first idea...whatever...there is no background story going on...i wish there would be one...but it´s just a pic. when you see a little story going on - that´s the best compliment.

Ds Dad : these and my malteser knights are the only customs i paid money for. not to forget arnauds cologne knight
-
And the dioramas just keep on coming 8-) 8-)

Beautifull set-up & photography!!
And the backgrounds you made are very much like the ones Playmobil used back in the 80's. 8-)
-
Superb fortress, Skywalker! I really love all you've done here and the sand and water add tremendous realism to an already impressive diorama! :wow: :wow: :wow:
-
Wow, this is awesome, Skywalker. It must have taken a long time to set this up so well, but it certainly turned out to be a fantastic display!

Looks like someone said something about an imminent pirate attack, and the garrison prepared themselves only to find out its a single pirate in a rowboat.
