 Hi friends, here's my latest creation.
I live near a very old town called Chester which has several Tudor streets. It's these shop rows that I've based my new building on.

Emma,
You could include a Playmobil shop as there is one in the rows at Chester.
Toycraft 35 Watergate Street at road level.
-
Wonderful buildings Emma. The details, wow. I love the bolts of fabric, butcher stuff, and little touches like the flour in the bakery. Great job!
-
Wonderful Emma, with great detail.
I guess the Americans didn't invent the shopping mall after all. ;D

Excellent, Emma, you've caught the look and the feel of the Rows perfectly.
We once had a long weekend on Chester staying at a hotel just inside the city walls near one of the gates, We visited the Rows, of course, and the thing I most remember about them apart from the overall impression was the noise from people talking and the sound of people walking on the wooden planks. The buildings seemed to magnify any sounds, and the noise of voices reminded me of the noise of flocks of starlings coming in to roost at sunset.
-
Wow! Really charming set of shops. I love the detail (as always).
Hats of to you , and thanks for sharing the photos!

Wow Emma - another great diorama. The detail is wonderful - love the pigs head over the shop sign, the fabric bolts and the activity! It looks alive and bustling. Great job.
-
Fantastic! Your attention to detail is, as always, impeccable!

 Thank you friends as always your kind comments give me a boost.
I really liked this project, I wanted to recreate as Playmofire says the hustle and bustle of theses shops all crammed in together. The real ones are just great to walk around with the slopping wood floors and wonderful wood carvings. It's amazing that such old buildings have survived so well in such constant use.
I've managed to create a small 1x2m diorama table in one room and I now have the shops set up there with my Tudor hall. I'm hoping to have it finished by Christmas so I can share it all with you. Thanks to Skywalker for his excellent dioramas that have inspired me so much.
 Hi Amd,
I usually just email them a list through their contacts page on Playmobil. My only problem is not knowing whats out of stock until my order arrives. ???
-
Hello !
Really a fine work Emma and very creativ. I like very much your buildings and here particulary the detail with a pig head (very realistic and funny) :)
Greetings,
TJ

Hi Emma,
Fantastic job! I lived in Chester for about six months (11 years ago), and you have indeed captured the look and feel of the Rows very, very well. As others have said, your attention to detail and humour are second to none!
Was that a bottle of poison I saw available in one shop? :o ???
Cheers,
AndrewL

Oh my word dear Emma
Chester is one of my favorite town in England and I love the Chester Rows
Your creation is always simply breathtakingly beautiful and perfect down to the smallest details :wow: :wow: :wow:

Downright beautifull, it looks like a very warm and welcomeing place for clickies to work and live. :)
The only thing I'd change about it would maybe be the shop signs, to be a bit more authentic and medieval looking.
Otherwise its downright perfect. Good thing my clickies didnt see this, otherwise they'd be jalous. ;)
-
:-[ Yes I know what you mean, I've found a guy who does great signs and I'm waiting back from him to see if I can get some. I'm not too good on the computer graphics - it just takes to long and I've always got somethin else to do!
-
Emma,
Thanks for sharing this scene from Chester...it is just delightful. Makes us feel as if we are there, too! Your interiors are above outstanding with all the fine details. Wow, Pgal
-
I'm ... speechless.
It's wonderfull - just awesome ...
