Title: My friend Ken
Post by: skypurr on September 12, 2011, 14:42:44
We seem to have been talking about the large klickies lately so I thought I'd post updated photos of my boy Ken.
Some of you may remember the battered 5 foot Klicky that was my late birthday present last year.  Damo spotted him on ebay and I managed to win him.  I was encouraged by my husband who thought he had more character than the pristine ones in the shops  ::)
He travelled 200 miles through the post in two boxes.
Originally a fireman, he had been used to raise money for the RNLI where he was dressed as a lifeboatman at events they held.
Just before the Kirkbean Exhibition I managed to paint him up to look like a fireman again.  His neck was almost seperated from his head, but with Plastex and woven tape I managed to repair it.
So, this is what Ken looked like then...

And this is him now...

He usually stands by the window in my craft room and it's great to watch the faces of people who spot him as they go by
